Things to Learn

Well, today has already been an unbelievable success, and it's only 1 o'clock! My twenty-ten summer is off to a great start. Today I...

Got up at 9AM
Rode my bike
Actually ate breakfast
Gave Licky a bath
Read a bunch of "The Book Thief"

And lastly...(Are you sitting down? Sit down. Ready?)

I made a cake. From scratch. Basically by myself.

Lizzy helped me, but only with getting ingredients and holding the bowl and stuff. I actually COOKED something, and it smells amazing. I'm not sure how it'll taste yet, but it looks pretty awesome :D This brings me to my second Summer List for you...

Things to Learn

1. Cooking
2. To do a flip underwater
3. To French braide
4. To spell "blood" with my fingers (click HERE XD)
5. To use the Snowflake Method
6. To upload pictures from my camera
7. To write cursive
8. Diving
10. How to do a split

Think I can do it all? We'll see. I'm one step closer to achieving #1...I'll let you know how the cake turns out :)

SNOW! :O

VOTE ON THE POLL TO THE RIGHT.

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!! IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG, GIGANTIC, GOOSE-FEATHER FLAKES!!!!!!!! AND LITTLE TINY MEAN-BUSINESS FLAKES!!!!!!!!! AND FLURRIES!!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S

STICKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the kind of happy that you can't convey with typed words. You have to see me beaming; you have to see my eyes lighting up; you have to watch me clap my hands; you have to see me pressing my face to the window; you have to watch me jump up and down by the window. You have to hear me giggling like a five-year-old; you have to hear me screaming through the house. You have to hear me walk around in wonder saying, "Look how soft it looks!" and "It's sticking!!" and "Look how pretty it looks in the woods!" and "Look! Narnia!" (And no one is even home to hear me!)

This is the first snow in the new house, so it's especially special. But really, snow it so fun and awesome. I'm bouncing in my seat! I love this!

And to make matters even specialer,

MY MOM AND I ARE GOING TO BAKE SUGAR COOKIES AND DECORATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:O :O :O :O :O :O

WE NEVER DO THAT!!!!!! WE'RE GOING TO BE LIKE A REAL HOLIDAY FAMILY AND BAKE COOKIES!!!!

And to make things EVEN BETTER:

ONLY SEVEN (7) {septus} [one week] DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS! CAN TODAY GET ANY FUNNER?????

Yes. Let's watch Alias and have it be an episode with Mr. Sark.

No, just kidding.

NO, NOTHING CAN MAKE THIS DAY BETTER! Of course, I will be glad to be proven wrong for once ;)

But, what shall we do for the Christmas Countdown?

SEVEN THINGS TO DO IN THE SNOW, OF COURSE, SILLY:

1. Snowball fight!

2. Snowman

3. Snowangel

4. Catch it on your tongue :D

5. Make snow slushies (snow + Kool-Aid of your choice)

6. Watch it and get inspired

7. Go on Lamppost hunts

I will be posting pictures later, so expect a second post :)

MERRY SEVEN-DAYS-UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. AND THANKS FOR FOLLOWING, KARIS!!!

Kavi and "Cooking"

Name Day! :D

The name of the week is Kavi.

I know, I know. Another boy's name beginning with "Ka". Sorry. I must just really like names like that. But I didn't just pick this because I like it. I picked this name because it belongs to my favorite character in that amazing trilogy called the Farsala Trilogy. He's the coolest character in my oppinion. Gosh, I wish I knew other people who've read it so I could talk about it with someone!! If any of y'all have read the books, or if you ever do, please let me know so we can talk about them!!

Meaning of Kavi: unlike most of the other names I've done (okay, so I've only done one other name...), "Kavi" seems to mean the same thing wherever I look. It means "wise man" or "wise poet". It doesn't really fit the character much, but I still like the name and the character.
---------------------
When I woke up this morning, my headache was finally gone!!!!!!! I was really happy, lol! I got up, ate a Pop-Tart, and then we got a call from the realtor saying that someone wanted to see the old house! So the whole family went back to the old house to get some more junk out of it and just vacuum and dust and stuff. It looks much nicer in there than I thought it could. Lol, if any of you are looking to buy a house, let me know ;)

Tomorrow night, Ellie B is coming to spend the night! I'm so excited!!!! She hasn't even seen the house since it was finished. How pathetic is that?? One of my best friends ever, and she hasn't even seen the place with carpet. *rolls eyes* Anyway, I'm super excited that she's finally coming. We never see each other anymore. :( But we are tomorrow, so I can't really mope. ;)

I was determined to work on "Mirror" today whether I liked it or not, but I ended up just reading over the last part and editing a little. *sigh* I really do hope I finish this book. I have so many ideas. I just don't understand why I can't WRITE!! *grrrr*

Well, it's Thursday, which means I have to "cook" dinner. Yeah, cook is soooo in quotation marks. I think I'm gonna make microwavable Stoffer's mac and cheese. Delicious, filling, acceptable, and virtually fool-proof. My kind of meal ;)

I'd better get to cooking. I need all the wiggle room I can get.

I'll post tomorrow if I haven't burned the kitchen down or something ;)

Skillz--That I don't Apparently Have

I fixed dinner tonight. An actual dinner. Like, not frozen pizzas or eggs or soup. Spaghetti. Sort of. My mom helped kind of a lot. It was weird. Because, I'm really good at a lot of things, so I figured cooking wouldn't be a problem. Well, let me tell ya,

it's a lot more work than I thought.

And it actually takes skillz. Skillz that I do not yet possess. I didn't burn the noodles or anything, but I was suprised at how difficult it was to multi-task in the kitchen! I can make soup and talk on the phone and quiz homework at the same time, but I sure can't make toast, put noodles in a pot, chop the ground beef, put the sauce on and set the table at the same time! HELP! Lol!

"Mirror" is still going HORRIBLY.

I took a bunch of quizes on Facebook instead of writing, haha! So far my fruit is a banana, I'm Darth Vador, a Genius, a class II cop, I almost escape a zombie attack, I'm Peter Pevensie (from Narnia), am a true southerner, am going to have four kids, have a great name, my true age is 11-20 years old, am most ceceptable to the sin greed, am Obi-Wan Kenobi, I'm the state Kansas, and am a Lovely Lady (yeah right). Yeah. I went quiz crazy :D

*sigh* Not writing sucks :'( I hope I can figure out what happens next soon...

We're going to watch "Get Smart" tonight :D Love that movie. So funny. So quotable! "Did you say SIIIIIIIIIIGFREEEEEEEEEEEEID?" LOL! "SSSSon of a hampster!" Lols, if you haven't seen it, you should!

Bye! Carpe diem!
