I did a tag on Facebook last night, and thought I'd bring it to the blog world! It's called 25 Things. You make a list of 25 random facts about yourself, and then tag 25 people you want to get to know better. I love doing these things and then reading what everyone else puts. Well, here goes!
25 Random Facts About Kendra
1. I cannot stand the word “chick” when referring to a girl. It’s degrading. Unless, of course, you’re using it in a degrading way, and then it’s fine :D
2. I'm allergic to peanuts.
3. I argue just for the heck of it.
4. I'm a dancer.
5. I have a serious fear of food poisoning and tapeworms.
6. My audio processing is zero. I can memorize by hearing, but not process. So, spelling anything to me is completely and utterly OUT, but I will be able to repeat it back to you forever.
7. I don't really like food.
8. I love music in a minor key. So much. It's crazy. I loooove it.
9. I wish more than a lot of things that I had a bigger family.
10. I'm a suspicious person.
11. I haver very eclectic taste in music.
12.Hilari Bell is the writer I think I admire the most (for her writing, I don’t know anything about her as a person).
13. I take random pictures of myself when I’m bored. And it makes me feel vain when I think about it.
14. I’m TERRIBLE at buying gifts.
15. I’m really unobservant.
16. Soccer is my favorite sport, but I’ve played basketball, tennis, tee ball, golf, softball, and dance (still do XD), too.
17. I write lots of unsent letters. It's how I roll.

19. I dislike wearing sunglasses. They make me feel like a diva.
20. Almost everything about me has an exception—or a contradiction. I hate the word chick, but you can use it if you’re being degrading. I’m extremely NOT a touchy-feely person, but there are certain people that I do actually like hugging. I’m a cheapskate, but sometimes I just splurge. I’m not girly at all, but I love heels. I don’t like chick-flicks, but 27 Dresses is one of my favorite movies. And on and on and on.
21. Begging is just not my style.
22. I believe that people who pull “cute” to get their way should be slapped. If you can’t persuade someone with your words, you don’t deserve to get your way anyway.
23. Watching people spit out their toothpaste (or even seeing myself do it) disgusts me beyond belief.
24. Irony is WIN.
25. I believe the most powerful thing in the world is Words.

Narcissism At Its Longest
So, I'm late >.< Awel Prince is having a blog-party-give-away thing and I loved the questions. Unfortunately I'm too late to enter the giveaway, but I really want to answer the questions. Hope that's okay!

1) What's your all time favorite blog/blogger? Yikes! Picking favorites is terrible >.< To name a few...Rear Window, The Word Crafter, Teen Justice, One Sparkling Star and My Life's Graffiti.
2) How do you personally define forgiveness?
Forgiveness is when you finally banish your hard feelings toward someone and can genuinely love them in Christ.
3) What object of your possession has the most sentimental value in your eyes?
I'm a really sentimental person; I have a lot of little things that mean a lot.
4) What song do you consider your personal theme song?
Hmm, Relient K has a ton of great songs that really resonate with me at different times. Up and Up, Best Thing, and Must Have Done Something Right come to mind with my life right now.
5) Do the opinions of others about you really matter to you?
It depends. Actually, no. It doesn't. Yes, they matter to me. I'm pretty much always either trying to make a good impression, or shock people >:D
6) Do you ever make up words?
OH MY GOSH YES. My family--no joke--made a dictionary for all our made up words. We are insane.
7) Off the top of your head, do you know what your middle name means? (You can look it up though! :)
Uh. Marielle. Something about the sea. *looks it up* Ah. Awesome. "Star of the sea."
8) What's is something that never fails to make you smile?

9) What person has touched your heart the most?
Hmm, in what way?

I'm sure there have been scenes like that, but nothing will come to mind.

Uh...I have no knowledge on this subject whatsoever.
12) What person comments the most consistently on your blog?
Hmm. I feel like it's a pretty good balance actually.
13) Who is your personal hero/heroine (fiction or real, or both)? Why?
My dance teacher. She is so amazing. I want to be just like her when I grow up.
14) Are you curious or are you satisfied knowing that "that's just the way it is"?
Wow, anyone who knows me knows that "just because" is one of the most frustrating things you can say to me.
15)List the your top 5 favorite songs. Do they have anything in common? Why do you love them?
They're not necessarily in order here...1) Call Me by Shinedown, just because I love the song. 2) Forsaken by As I Lay Dying, I love the lyrics and the sound, and it makes me feel awesome. 3) Painting Flowers by All Time Low, I think it was a clever take on Alice in Wonderland. And I just like the song. 4) Treasure by Flyleaf, I love the lyrics. For some reason it gives me chills. 5) Numb by Linkin Park, again, love the lyrics. And I love Linkin Park. Ugh, it kills me to only pick 5 XD I have sooo manyyy and for different moods, times, reasons.
16) Do you ever get into arguments with...your characters? (that's if you write a book :). And if you don't write, do you think you would?
I do, yeah, and not just about the stories they're in. Paige Walt argues with me all the time, but mostly about my own choices. "Kendra, what are you thinking? Don't say that, try this..." etc.
17) While reading a book or watching a movie, were you ever blown away by an unexpected plot twist? What was it and how did you react?
Inkspell and the Mortal Instruments come to mind.
18) What's your personal opinion of i-designs? (orignal, I know, but I really want to know! :)
Hmm, I'm not sure what this is talking about actually...
19) What's your favorite color combinations?
Blue and green in all variations.
20) What's your favorite comic book series?
I have never read a comic book in my life to be honest.
21) What is the oldest book you've read? How old was it? (By old, I mean, like antique books...the manuscript doesn't have to be old, just the copy of it. :)
Oh, hmm...I'm not sure. Our books are all in good condition, so it's hard to tell how old they are. We have an old LotR box set though.
22) What character in any movie or book, would you say is the MOST like you?
Well, Belle from Beauty in the Beast is always freakishly like me. Betsy from the Betsy-Tacy books is also amazingly similar to myself. Even the events of her life mirror mine! It's crazy!
23) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Hmm. I'd just be nicer. I don't feel like I'm a very nice person. I feel like I'm selfish and greedy and mean more often than not.
24) As a child, what was one thing that always frightened you? This could be something real or imagined! :)
Being out of control. Any way, shape or form was my biggest fear.
25) What's your life motto?
Carpe diem, of course.
26) As you're sitting in café, you're given a note: "It's in your best interests to meet me at 7 P.M. tonight, alone, at Pine and 4th." How would you react?
I'd go to Pine and 4th, of course! 'Course I don't know if I'd go alone. No one ever does and it always turns out awesome anyway XD Plus if I got a creepy note like that and didn't tell anyone, I know of a few people who would be ticked XD

Ugh. This is too hard. Mortal Instruments, Farsala Trilogy (those are six books together) and...Sophie's World.

1: Apples, Oranges or Bananas? Well, bananas do this weird thing to my throat, but then it's basically a tie between apples and oranges. I really love eating orange slices at soccer games though, so oranges win :)
2: How many siblings do you have? Biologically, one: 13-year-old Lizzy. But if you count all my unbiological, might-as-well-be siblings you have to include Matt, Katie, David, Daniel, Jordan, Aaron, Cassidy...
3: How old are you? Sweet 16
4: Do you live on a prairie, woodland, swamp, city or other? Other. I live in a small town. I absolutely love it :)
5: Scissors or glue? Scissors >:)
6: Describe your dream house. :O I've never gotten this question on anything before. This is awesome. Okay, hmm...First, the yard has to be big with lots of trees (pine trees SO do not count -_-) and preferably some small woods in the backyard. The house itself I want to be big, but not HUGE. Two or maybe three stories, four bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, playroom are all important. I'm more into modern styles. THIS rather than THAT. Of course, I don't want my house to feel like a museum, I want it to feel like home, so we'll see.
7: Is your room clean? Uh...It's actually not that bad :O
8: If you could be a movie character for a day, who would you be? Hmm...Maybe Eowyn.
9: Italy, Greece, France, Spain or England? Ireland. But of those, Greece. Italy and France are close behind.

Brief Explanation and Today
First: Sorry about yesterday XD And sorry to anyone I came in contact with yesterday. Bad day. I realized I'd left my phone charger at Great Wolf Lodge, my jaw popped out of joint, one of my friends was letting his giant crush show more than usual, I still couldn't (and can't) find my mood ring, I discovered things about a friend that I'd rather not have found out, etc. etc. etc. Just a really bad day.
And the next day was Monday, which only added to my misery. Monday's suck, in case you didn't know.
Today...kinda sucked. It could have been a lot better, it could have been a lot worse. But, I'm going to focus only on the good.
Good Things About Today:
- I wasn't super tired when I woke up.
- I actually really loved "A Morbid Taste For Bones" that we read for school.
- I got the new Alice in Wonderland soundtrack on iTunes, and I love it.
- I discovered that I still have a giant Hershey kiss from Valentine's Day and dug into that.
- My mom is letting me finish my Brahms paper on Wednesday instead of me bleeding out my eyes trying to write it at the computer right now. (That didn't make sense...but whatever. I'm tired.)
- I'm actually tired and I want to go to bed, which doesn't usually happen at such a good time.
- I successfully reminded my classmates that my teacher's birthday is tomorrow, and we're all making goodies and cards for her.
- I got a very encouraging comment.
Hah, wow, I didn't realize all those good things happened :D I feel even better now. Yay.

And the next day was Monday, which only added to my misery. Monday's suck, in case you didn't know.
Today...kinda sucked. It could have been a lot better, it could have been a lot worse. But, I'm going to focus only on the good.
Good Things About Today:
- I wasn't super tired when I woke up.
- I actually really loved "A Morbid Taste For Bones" that we read for school.
- I got the new Alice in Wonderland soundtrack on iTunes, and I love it.
- I discovered that I still have a giant Hershey kiss from Valentine's Day and dug into that.
- My mom is letting me finish my Brahms paper on Wednesday instead of me bleeding out my eyes trying to write it at the computer right now. (That didn't make sense...but whatever. I'm tired.)
- I'm actually tired and I want to go to bed, which doesn't usually happen at such a good time.
- I successfully reminded my classmates that my teacher's birthday is tomorrow, and we're all making goodies and cards for her.
- I got a very encouraging comment.
Hah, wow, I didn't realize all those good things happened :D I feel even better now. Yay.

FUNNEST TAG EVER!!
I was not tagged, but I couldn't help but do this when I saw it on Earwen's blog! Sorry if this is cheating! I couldn't help myself ;)

3. 12 sends 8 out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed?
I totally laughed out loud. Jacob Black orders Captain Shang on a mission? Hmm, mission: Take down Victoria so she won't kill Bella (let's say Edward is gone). Jacob can't protect Bella himself because he's been ordered by the Alpha for some reason not to. Does the mission succeed? Hmm, I really want to say yes, but no. Vampire Woman against human Captain Shang? No amount of strength, honor and bravery can save him from her!
4. What is or what would be 9's favorite book?
Will Turner's? I don't know actually.
5. Would it make more since for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Hmm, Darren swearing fealty to Soraya, or vice versa? Darren swearing to Soraya, I think. Soraya is near royalty, and Darren would be a capable aid to her.
6. For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he room with 9 or 10?
I love this one! Should Jace room with Will Turner or Murtagh? I think Jace and Murtagh might get along rather well, actually...
7. 2, 7 and 12 are going out to dinner. Where do they go and what do they discuss?
Darren, Kavi, and Jacob Black. I LOVE THAT! Where do they go? I'm going to go with JP Looneys. What do they talk about? Well, Darren and Jacob are both from here and now, so that's not too hard, but Kavi is from the Middle East-ish and a long time ago...Well, regardless, I bet they find SOME way to talk sports XD
8. 3 challenges 10 to a duel, who wins?
LOLS!!!!! Paige vs. Murtagh? I'm sorry, Paige, but you have no chance.
9. If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would (s)he get it back?
Eragon steals from Shang...I suppose Shang would hunt Eragon down and corner him and ask him to give it back. From what you can gather from a Disney movie, Shang is a very act-now-ask-later kind of person. Strength, bravery and honor always.
10. Suggest a story title in which 7 and 12 both attain what they desire.
Kavi and Jacob. What does Kavi want most? The best thing for his people, justice. What does Jacob want? Bella (lol). So the title of the book would be...Love and War.
11. What kind of plot device would you have to use if you wanted 1 and 4 to work together?
Eragon and Luken working together? Well, since Eragon has some experience working with Elves and their peculiarities, that might not be too difficult. Although, Luken's arrogant attitude is enough to drive anyone crazy.
12. If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would it go?
KAVI!!! *hyperventilates* I love him!! Well, as a character. Um, it would probably go rather disappointingly, though. He's not a very sociable person and I'm much younger than he is (he's 19-20). I would definitely ask him lots of questions about being a spy and a peasant, etc., but I can't imagine him being more than vaguely interested in visiting.
13. If you could command 3 to perform any service or task for you, what would it be?
Oh, Paige. Um, maybe pull a few strings and get me to Sorayoni?
14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
Jane Eyre? Um, no. She's not a very well-known character among people my age, lol!
15. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, what side would (s)he choose?
Darren choosing between Luken and Jace? Oh, WOW, this is good. Luken and Jace are very much alike in personality, actually. Jace is much funnier and Luken more serene, though. It would depend on the issue, but in general, I almost think Darren would go with Jace...I think he could definitely relate to Jace much more. Then again, there are some things that would make Darren want to side with Luken...Probably Darren would side with Jace, though.
16. What might 10 shout out while charging into battle?
Murtagh might shout something like, "LOOK OUT GALBATORIX!" No, really, I have NO IDEA. I'm awful at that sort of thing.
17. If you had to choose a song to best describe 8, what would it be?
Shang. Uh, "I'll Make A Man Out of You", duh ;)
18. 1, 6 and 12 are having a dim sum at a Chinese Restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets it?
Eragon, Soraya, and Jacob Black. Soraya most definitely gets it. I can't imagine Eragon caring that much about a pancake, and Jacob (pre-phasing at least) is fairly happy-go-lucky. Soraya is definitely not flexible or selfless by any stretch of the imagination.
19. What would be a good pickup line for 2 to say to 10?
Um, Darren trying to pick up Murtagh...I'm thinking there would be nothing to say, LOL!
20. What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
JACE! I was hoping it'd be him :) Hmm, probably getting super angry and doing some damage to public property...No, more likely he was a smart-alec to a police officer or security guard.

*whispers* She's actually still alive and the Daughter of the House of the Leopard!

Um, Will Turner vs. Jane Eyre. I'm going with Will. It's hard to run fast in a dress :D

*squeal* Kavi or Shang? I'd feel perfectly safe with either. Kavi is quite street-smart, a very good liar and could talk his way out of anything. He'd make you laugh at the same time with his dry humor, too. Of course, he's a good fighter when necessary, but with him, it probably wouldn't be necessary. Shang is your ideal Chinese warrior. Need I say more?

A VERY Long Post (Includes Question Day, Character Day, My Day, and Two Tags :O)
Okay, this is a LOOOOOOOONG post, so let me help you find your way through it with this handy Table of Contents:

Question Day:

My answer:
It's part of human nature, I believe. The lack of "carpe diem", the staring at the grass on the other side of the fence.
Often people who have it the best complain the most. Isn't that odd? I think the reason is that they are spoiled. Not in the bratty way, just that they've had everything they needed all their lives. They don't know what it means not to get everything they want for Christmas, or not have enough food, or not have a best friend.
When you never need anything, you can't appreciate not having it.
Like in Coloniel days, a stick of candy would make a kid's day. Now, a stick of candy is just a temporary pleasure that we forget ten minutes later when we're whining to go to the movies.
Sort of the opposite, people can complain all the time because of ONE THING they don't have, and that over-shadows all the good they DO have. A girl might gripe and moan about, oh, say...not having an older brother, and miss the fact that both her parents are happily married to each other, have jobs, and she lives in a beautiful new house!
You're so right; we need to stop complaining. It's so cliche, but we really do need to count our blessing. Be glad of the things we have, ignore the things we don't (within reason).
However, on more reason for ridiculous complaining is that the person needs Jesus. Honestly, the way to true happiness cannot be found in possessions. It cannot be found in good friendship (although that certainly is a wonderful thing). It cannot be found solely by counting your blessing.
To be truly happy, one must find God.
Long story short: People who live the good life complain all the time for one (or all) of three reasons:

Character Day! Sorry I'm late.
Since this is going to be a monumental post anyway, I'll go into semi-detail this time.
The character of the week is Johnny Tremain from the book "Johnny Tremain" by Esther Forbes. Why Johnny? Because I think he's an excellent example of a realistic and complex character. The book takes place right before and during the Revolutionary War. Johnny begins the book as an extremely talented silversmith's apprentice for a kind master, Old Mr. Lapham.
The complexity of Johnny’s character helps makes the story believable. At the beginning of the book, pride dominates Johnny’s nature. His skills as a silversmith far exceed those of the other two Lapham apprentices, and Johnny lets this go to his head. For the first part of the book, Johnny is extremely arrogant and treats everyone as though they were beneath him.
Pride isn’t Johnny’s only character trait, though, even from the beginning. Johnny is also clever and bold and determined. He can’t be stereotyped, which makes him seem especially real. He reacts to things in ways unique to him. The way he feels about Cilla, the old Mr. Lapham’s daughter, confuses him, and he struggles with what to do about her. This struggle adds depth to Johnny’s character, and shows a different side than his usual arrogant, determined nature.
Johnny grows up a great deal during the course of the book. He never loses his proud nature completely, but he learns that everyone makes mistakes—even himself—and his pride shifts from arrogance to healthy self-confidence. He matures and finds his true self, developing into a determined young man of courage and good values.
Johnny is one of the few characters I've read about that can't be put into the common mold (hot-head, ladies' man, prep, innocent, big-mouth, etc.) at all. He's as real and complex as anyone you might meet in real life, and sometimes even more so. Johnny is one of my favorite literary characters, and Esther Forbes is a writer I long to be like.

Ah, yes. Today was much needed.
I got all of my work done, and tonight my dad is going to watch football with some guys, so it'll be a "girl's night" at my house :) We are renting (or buying) the Hannah Montana Movie and having popcorn, pretzels, etc.
Yes, the Hannah Montana Movie. I've had such a wonderful day, though, that I don't even care! And plus, it really wasn't a half bad movie at all. I even liked it, and it's not my thing. Lucas Till helped, of course ;) Haha, just kidding.
In school, we're reading "Paradise Lost". Not the whole thing, though. Just all the arguments at the beginning and then book one. We read some of it in Challenge B (eighth grade), and I HATED IT with a PASSION. All the except we read talked about was gluttony and drinking, gluttony and drinking, for pages and pages and PAGES. I thought reading all of book one was going to be torture.
It is not.
I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Honestly. Really. I LOVE IT.
Book one is all about Satan, his falling from Heaven, and rousing up his rebel angels in Hell to continue resistance against God. It's incredible. John Milton is an absolute genius. He portrays Satan so believably. Evil, yes, but relatable, real, in some places almost charismatic. I'm a firm believer in God, but some of Satan (as Milton portrays him)'s speeches are incredibly persuasive.
"Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven." --Satan
Favorite quote. While I have to admit it, I tend to think that way myself. I know that's horrible, and I'm a strong Christian and everything, but...well, does anyone else know what I mean?
I had crazy dreams last night. More Maximum Ride dreams. I watched the whole series as a movie, but when I woke up, I realized that it didn't even follow the book. It was really vivid and interesting, but not half as good as the dream where I was Max and Fang was my "brother" :)

1. What two qualities do you want most in your future husband? Humor is definitely one of them. He's got to make me laugh. Who wants to spend the rest of their life with someone who has no sense of humor?? Quality two...Okay, there are several qualities that I'd like, but I'll say this one just to shock everyone: Protective. *scowls as your jaw drops* Yes, okay, I said it. Not like Over-bearing Edward Cullen or anything, but someone who will stick up for me when necessary, and, well, protect me. I'm horribly proud and like to think of myself as a complete fend-for-herself girl, but I actually appreciate when people step in and say, "Hey, knock it off" when I'm in trouble, or help me out.
2. Is there a fictional character you see as a model for your future husband? Hmm, I don't know. I've had countless book-crushes, and I'd marry a couple of character, but isn't it kind of a moot point since they're, well, characters? Okay, that's not really an answer, I know. Let me try again. Eragon ("Eragon"), Fang ("Maximum Ride"), Jace ("The Mortal Instruments"), Johnny Tremain ("Johnny Tremain") and Kavi ("The Farsala Trilogy") are my top book crushes. Make of that what you will.
3. Where do you want your wedding? I don't know. Outside weddings are pretty, but the weather is so unpredictable, and I like predictability when it comes to things like weddings. I definitely want it to be simple, yet elaborately beautiful, if that makes any sense.
4. What are your views on courtship? Nice idea. Don't know if it's going to happen. (Well, put Bethany.) I think it's a fine idea, and it works wonderfully for some people. I don't think I will do it. The idea of a "boyfriend" is kind of heavy for me, though. I'm a huge believer in "friends first". Hanging out with a guy one-on-one is fine with me, but when I get really serious, I want to be absolutely sure that it's someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. Does that make sense?
5. What are your views on your first kiss? I'm waiting for someone I'm really in love with. I'm terrible at KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid), though. I complicate things to within and inch of its life, and then there's no magic left. I want everything to be perfect for my first kiss, but I know that's impossible. Just my nerves alone will prevent that.
6. Do you have or want a purity ring/locket? No, but I want one so badly!! Of course, I'll have to take off my mood ring to wear it :O
7. Do you have or want a hope chest? I dont' have one, and I'm not sure about wanting one. I think it's a beautiful kind of old-fashioned idea, but I don't know that I want to have a giant chest full of towels and dishes and stuff in my room waiting for the I Do's...
8. Will you wear a veil at your wedding? No. I want to see everything just as it is, not through a veil.
9. What kind of wedding dress do you want? Ooh, something intricate, Elven, and definitely white. I like this, but I'm not sure about for a wedding dress...It seems a little more like a ball gown. It's part of human nature, I believe. The lack of "carpe diem", the staring at the grass on the other side of the fence.
Often people who have it the best complain the most. Isn't that odd? I think the reason is that they are spoiled. Not in the bratty way, just that they've had everything they needed all their lives. They don't know what it means not to get everything they want for Christmas, or not have enough food, or not have a best friend.
When you never need anything, you can't appreciate not having it.
Like in Coloniel days, a stick of candy would make a kid's day. Now, a stick of candy is just a temporary pleasure that we forget ten minutes later when we're whining to go to the movies.
Sort of the opposite, people can complain all the time because of ONE THING they don't have, and that over-shadows all the good they DO have. A girl might gripe and moan about, oh, say...not having an older brother, and miss the fact that both her parents are happily married to each other, have jobs, and she lives in a beautiful new house!
You're so right; we need to stop complaining. It's so cliche, but we really do need to count our blessing. Be glad of the things we have, ignore the things we don't (within reason).
However, on more reason for ridiculous complaining is that the person needs Jesus. Honestly, the way to true happiness cannot be found in possessions. It cannot be found in good friendship (although that certainly is a wonderful thing). It cannot be found solely by counting your blessing.
To be truly happy, one must find God.
Long story short: People who live the good life complain all the time for one (or all) of three reasons:

Well, it's after dinner now. I'm kind of hungry right now, though, because I didn't eat dinner.
*sigh* I know, I know. I gotta tell this now :) It's honestly not a very interesting story, lol.
So, some of you know that I'm allergic to peanuts. Anyway, most of the things on the menu at the Chinese were "peanut such-and-such" or "so-and-so with peanut sauce". -.- So I decided not to risk dying and just didn't eat anything, lol! I honestly wasn't hungry anyway, though, and Chinese isn't really my favorite, so that was okay. I got a soft pretzel at Target later.
Ohh, I have some news about the Mulan audition: I'm not singing "It's Over" anymore, although that was really perfect for my vocal range (as I know it, anyway). Matt ("little brother") and Katie ("little sister)'s mom works with a lady named Roxanne, and Roxanne's husband is the one directing Mulan. So, M&K's mom got some more information about the audition for me, and it turns out that I A: should not sing a guy song (not that "It's Over" is anyway), B: should not sing a group song, and C: should sing something Disney-Channel-esque.
While out eating Chinese of Death and poking around at Target, we went to the CD section and I asked a sale's girl about karaoke stuff. (She was kind of funny. Red hair, lots of makeup, it was her first day in the electronics department. She reminds me so much of someone...who is it??)
We ended up buying a Taylor Swift karaoke CD, and I'm going to sing part of "Teardrops on My Guitar". It was the only song on the CD I knew, and it was the only CD we could find. *shrugs* I can sing some of it, so that's good enough for me (and hopefully the audition people...).
Now I just have to learn the lyrics, learn the timing, figure out how long "16 bars" is, pick a section to sing, get used to doing it without her voice, and practice.

But, hey, anything to entertain my followers, right? ;) Haha, no, stuff like this just happens to me naturally ;D And it's usually my own fault. Like now for example.
*sigh* Well, I need to go read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, which I'm supposed to finish today. No, I have not started. I have so much to do tomorrow it's not even funny. I maybe be doing some work on the weekend :-/
Well, my mom had a good birthday full of waffles for breakfast, her favorite Mocha Java coffee, turkey-bacon-apple-clubs for lunch, Bath and Body Works stress relief bath salt, Dove dark chocolates, a new lounge, nightgown thing, and dinner at Chinese. *sigh* I know, I know. I gotta tell this now :) It's honestly not a very interesting story, lol.
So, some of you know that I'm allergic to peanuts. Anyway, most of the things on the menu at the Chinese were "peanut such-and-such" or "so-and-so with peanut sauce". -.- So I decided not to risk dying and just didn't eat anything, lol! I honestly wasn't hungry anyway, though, and Chinese isn't really my favorite, so that was okay. I got a soft pretzel at Target later.
Ohh, I have some news about the Mulan audition: I'm not singing "It's Over" anymore, although that was really perfect for my vocal range (as I know it, anyway). Matt ("little brother") and Katie ("little sister)'s mom works with a lady named Roxanne, and Roxanne's husband is the one directing Mulan. So, M&K's mom got some more information about the audition for me, and it turns out that I A: should not sing a guy song (not that "It's Over" is anyway), B: should not sing a group song, and C: should sing something Disney-Channel-esque.
While out eating Chinese of Death and poking around at Target, we went to the CD section and I asked a sale's girl about karaoke stuff. (She was kind of funny. Red hair, lots of makeup, it was her first day in the electronics department. She reminds me so much of someone...who is it??)
We ended up buying a Taylor Swift karaoke CD, and I'm going to sing part of "Teardrops on My Guitar". It was the only song on the CD I knew, and it was the only CD we could find. *shrugs* I can sing some of it, so that's good enough for me (and hopefully the audition people...).
Now I just have to learn the lyrics, learn the timing, figure out how long "16 bars" is, pick a section to sing, get used to doing it without her voice, and practice.
By tomorrow.
*GROAN* Kendra, you sure know how to make your life interesting.
But, hey, anything to entertain my followers, right? ;) Haha, no, stuff like this just happens to me naturally ;D And it's usually my own fault. Like now for example.
*sigh* Well, I need to go read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, which I'm supposed to finish today. No, I have not started. I have so much to do tomorrow it's not even funny. I maybe be doing some work on the weekend :-/
Well, my mom had a good birthday full of waffles for breakfast, her favorite Mocha Java coffee, turkey-bacon-apple-clubs for lunch, Bath and Body Works stress relief bath salt, Dove dark chocolates, a new lounge, nightgown thing, and dinner at Chinese. Hope she had a good birthday :) I think she did.

Kind of Cheating
I am cheating today. I'm just going to do a fill-out and then tag people instead of doing a real post so that I can write. Er, try to write. (I will also post the answers to my quiz about ME that I made on Facebook.) If you are reading this, consider yourself tagged. Haha, I saw this on Steph's blog and just had to do it :) Sorry for posting twice in a day.

Philosophical Questions
Okay. Forget book-bot. Not workin' for me anymore. I'm just gonna blog about life now. :D
Okaaaay. Don't know what to say. Which isn't usually a problem for me in person. I tend to talk a LOT.
Okay, for lack of a better thing to do right now, I'm going to do a fill-out thingie about myself. Wait, wait, wait! Before you scroll back up, this isn't a typical fill-out. We're studying philosophy, and well, I love it!! So, here's a philosophical fill out! :)
1. Prove you are alive. "I think therefore I am." --Rene Descartes
2. Where do your thoughts come from? This is definitely a tough one. Technically, my head. But what goes on in there to make me think what I think?? My thoughts can come from myself, or they can be God influenced.
3. Who or what influences you the most in life? My parents, my friends, what I hear in music, what I read, God occasionally (I'm trying to get better at that). Number one would have to be...a tie between my parents and friends. VERY close second is what I read. I love to read. Books affect me a lot.
5. What do you want to accomplish in life? I definitely want to get a book published!! And have a family. Become a stronger Christian. Become a lawyer.
6. Do you think you know more than most people, or less? More than a lot of kids my age, less than some. It's hard to say. Most people on Earth are older than I am, so they obviously know more than I do. For a person my age, though, I would say I'm fairly up-there. I hope you don't think I'll all stuck up, though, lol!
7. Are you confident that you can discern the truth? I sure hope so. But who can really know the truth in some matters until judgement day?
Well, that was me in about seven questions :) Hope you're not asleep on the keyboard :)
