Just Tune Me Out For A Minute

Today was not very good. It's not that anything bad happened, I think it was just me. For some reason, I just did not have a good day. So far. But the day isn't over yet.

:-|

*shrug*

This morning was church. I got to see Cavender, which was good. Then this afternoon I was just really tired and just...I was sad. For no reason. So no feeling bad for me -_-

I am not looking for sympathy; I'm just complaining. I do that too often lately. Usually I only do it to people I feel comfortable with, but lately my bad attitude has been leaking out onto Carpe Diem. That's so anti-what-this-blog-is-about. Sorry, guys!

I'm also apologizing a lot lately. I guess that might be better than the way I used to be. I used to never apologize. For anything. Everything was always someone else's fault. Now...I'm not saying I take responsibility enough, because I don't, but I apologize a lot more than I ever used to. It definitely annoys me. I think it's part of the budding Miss Self-Conscious I am. It sucks.

ALSO--ah, never mind.

Uh. Lemme try to be positive for a minute...

...

...

...

Uh.

...

I swear, I am trying. Hang on.

...

>.< ... I... I still like my music lecture idea. Even though I have a butt load of work to do on it tomorrow. >.<

Something is seriously wrong with me. I have nothing to be so down and irritated about. And I REALLY, REALLY don't need to be dragging this over into Carpe Diem, but here I am, still typing.

And yesterday I was all happy! What the heck! *sigh* Oh well. One of these days, I just might turn back into the old Kendra. I hope so.

Advice Day

Ready for my supreme knowledge?

"Don't get behind in math." ~Kendra Logan

-_- It will kill you dead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway. Today was...extremely unproductive and just generally cruddy, but then at the same time it was fun... I messed around most of the day, then did math.
I was woefully behind. I mean, I had been keeping up with the work, but not with the understanding. I'm terrible at math. I'm in algebra 1 AGAIN -_- I don't ever seem to understand even the simplest things. Thanks to Cavender and Kyle for trying to help. Ish XD My mom and dad did eventually clear things up for me.
Then, my ulcer started getting worse. Um, AGAIN. I've been battle the stupid mouth-blister for a week now. It's a literal pain to eat, a literal pain to smile, a literal pain to laugh, talk, and all the other things I do a lot (apparently).
Also, I found out ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE news about my driver's ed certificate. We'd been calling the department of Non-Public Education to send me a form I need to get my permit. We've called four times, and they still haven't sent my form. Well, today my dad finally got a hold of a non-machine person and guess what?
We apparently aren't in the records. And to get your permit form mailed to you, that means your school has to have been set up for at least six months. Know what that means?
I WON'T BE ABLE TO GET MY PERMIT UNTIL I'M AT LEAST SIXTEEN AND A HALF. AND THEN I CAN'T GET MY LICENSE TILL A YEAR AFTER THAT. I WILL BE
SEVENTEEN AND A FREAKING HALF BY THE TIME I GET A LICENSE.
Does that suck or what?
Yeah. It sucks.
But then, on the other hand, I've had so much fun with my friends today (all online, LOL), that today really wasn't bad at all. Weird, huh? Well, I mean, I guess not really...
Okay, my thoughts are very scattered today/right now. I guess I'll leave you now :)
Twenty-One Christmas Pet Peeves
How do you like the new background? :) Thanks, ***Emily***! Should I leave the snowmen, or switch to the one without them?
Now, with only twenty-one days until Christmas, how about some of my personal pet peeves about the "holiday" (grr) season?
1. When people complain that "Xmas" is taking Christ out of Christmas. It's merely an abbreviation, people, and it's actually very religious. It comes from the Greek letter chi (kye), which is the symbol for Christ.
2. When people cloud the joy of Christmas with the fact that Jesus dies. Yes, he dies, but we have EASTER to mourn that! Let's be happy about our savior at Christmas!
3. Candy canes
4. Complaining kids who didn't get all the stuff they wanted.
5. When little kids ask you if you believe in Santa. (Really, how do you answer that??)
6. Nativity dolls with weird faces
7. Colored, blinking lights on Christmas trees
8. Feeling sick after being warned not to eat too much
9. Neighbor's Christmas lights that are so bright that there's pseudo-daylight in you room at night
10. Mistletoe
11. Spray-on snow
12. Teenagers who are "too cool" for Christmas
13. That dropped-off-a-cliff feeling the day after Christmas
14. Getting that present you'd been hoping you wouldn't get
15. People who make snide remarks about your favorite old Christmas movies
16. Maurice Chevalier
17. Staying long periods of time at adult Christmas parties
18. The fact that there are no commercials for toys for outside anymore, only electronics
19. People who say "Happy Holidays!" just to be politically correct
20. Idiots on the highway when commuting to spend time with relatives
21. People who celebrate Christmas but shun the whole reason for the season
Haha, hoped you liked hearing all that complaining ;)
MERRY TWENTY-ONE-DAYS-UNTIL CHRISTMAS!
Fact or Fiction and the Timeline from Satan
Fact or Fiction:
The Kentucky Fried Chicken chain changed their name to KFC to eliminate the word "fried" from its title.
As usual, comment or email me your answer, and NO GOOGLING :)
-------------------------
Well, today was just lovely.
NOT.
School was going moderately fine until about 2:45 when I started to work on my hateful timeline for Art History. To keep it short, I'll just explain it as the most horrendously tedious, mind-numbingly frustrating, stress-inducing school activity ever conceived by man (or in this case, woman :P).
AND it has to be done on the computer, which triples the liklihood of getting a monsterous headache (I did).
I had three pages worth of dates to enter into this timeline. I have to copy and paste the timeline onto a word document, change all the dates on the line to suit what I need it to, copy and past the little labels and stick them to the right date.
To give you an idea of how long it takes to do this, I'll tell you that it took me 53 minutes to enter in half a page's worth of dates.
I saved the document and decided I'd finish later.
That wasn't good enough for my mother, however, she said I had to finish the other two and a half pages NOW, and she wanted to see what I had done so far (I don't think she believed me that I had worked on it at all :( ).
Grumbling to myself, I pulled up the hateful timeline.
Er, tried to.
The thing is, it wasn't there.
None of it. At all. Nothing. Nowhere.
My timeline had somehow gotten deleted, or at any rate, not saved even though I specifically clicked SAVE a million times!
SO, I had to start ALL OVER and do the WHOLE THING which took me a grand total of THREE HOURS of insanely tedious, mind-numblingly frustrating, stressful WORK.
I almost cried. But I didn't.
So, that was my day.
How was yours? >:E
No play practice tonight :'( I'm sad about that. I really, really, REALLY like it. I thought at first it was going to just stress me out, but it actually is KEEPING me from being stressed. It's a great way to relax and have fun after a horrible day. So, I really wish I had it tonight :(
As for writing...*sigh* I really need to get with it, I know. I don't know what's wrong with me, but then again I never do.
So, blah. Vote on the poll. Answer the Fact or Fiction question. Participate in Followers Say. Ask me a question for Question Day. Get someone to become my 50th follower.
*sigh*
I'm sorry. Today has just turned out to be a heck of a let down. Thanks for cheering me up, though, Cavender :)
P.S. Check out my new bookshelf! It's on the sidebar thing right after the blog archive.
Vets, Colds, and Computers
First things first: followers are the greatest! I only wish my retarded computer would load the page so I could see who my fortieth follower WAS. *growls* I can't quite remember their name. It's like just4god or something...*moan* I'm sorry I can't properly recognize you! If the page will load for anyone else, please tell me who follower number 40 is, will you? Thanks, and thanks just4god or whatever for following! Yay! 40 followers! I never thought I'd see the day.
Second things second: Word Day! And my word is: desconsolado.
First person to explain that to me gets an award. We all know it will be Cavender, but let's wait and see for sure.
Third things third: Today was okay. Mostly. I finished the Da Vinci Code, which was *very* good, took my dog to the vet, ran out of tissues for my cold, had a rough afternoon, ate a great dinner, watched Wizards of Waverly Place with the family, ate a slice of pizza, pretzels, and a Go-Gurt, then here I am. And my chin is itching...hopefully it isn't poison ivy.
So, basically, I have a cold, my dog has a double ear infection, I'm too full, and I thought about Him a lot today.
Still had a good day. My chin itches.
Last night at like midnight, I wrote like a page and a half of "Mirror". It's okay. It's a little more formal than the rest of the book, though. Weird. My writing style kind of tends to mimic whatever I'm reading at the moment, and The Da Vinci Code is written with slightly bigger-than-usual words, so I guess that's rubbing off on me.
We finally got a new router for the computer! Yay! It was going great until like...just now. Great. It's SLOWER THAN MOLASES again. We have such rotten computer luck.
Oh, I also have a new gadget, the page-hit counter! I started it at 1000, because I figure in the year I've had this blog, surely it must have been visited that many times. I was going to start at 100 instead, but I accidentally clicked "finish" or whatever before I had the chance.
Gracias to everyone who liked my eye yesterday, lol! Lizzy's amazing with cameras.
I hate how boring I am today. I'm sorry.
WARNING: Babyish, Complaining Post
I'm going to be annoying, babyish, complaining, and just an all around pill for a minute or two.
My allergies are bothering me. My throat is all burning and tingling and it feels like crap to swallow, so I'm not drinking enough so I'm dehydrated so I have a headache and I'm not sure how much medicine to take, but my mom is busy and when I went in to ask her how much to take, she goes, "Don't come in here and ask questions."
I feel pitiful. At the moment, I hate Classical Conversations. I hate practicums, I hate being tired and sick, and I hate how my mom works all the freakin' time. I miss the days when I was little when I was sick and she would be really sweet to me and tuck me in on the couch and bring me my medicine and tell me she was sorry I felt bad. I miss the days where I could feel sick without being labled some mean things.
I miss how my mom used to have all the time in the world for me and my sister and she was always there for us no matter what. I miss the days where she would offer to make me a jelly sandwhich. I miss the days when I would come downstairs and see her sitting in "her" chair reading a book. I miss the days when she wasn't stressed 24/7. I miss the days when she was my mom and ONLY my mom. Not the director of Classical, not my teacher, not someone else's teacher, not the trouble-shooter, not the go-to person for everyone in Classical.
I miss the old days and I want them back.
Sorry. I just feel pathetic right now. I'll get better in a few days.
Gotta go. Mom is yelling at something again.
A PICTURE! *GASP*
*jaw absolutely hits the floor* I've heard of miracles, but really, two new followers in two days?? Lol! It's my lucky week! Thanks, Alex! I love your blog, by the way.
Okay, I know you're wondering "Uhh, what's up with the picture?" Well, it's me and the girl that looks like my character! *gasp* I actually figured out how to get a picture on here. That alone derserves a round of applause ;) Just kidding. But yeah. The costume we're wearing are the costumes that we wore for our hip-hop/jazz dance the finale. The one with funky looking hair and a too long nose is me. I'm holding the flowers that my parents got me.
-------------------------
Okaaaay! It's WORD DAY!! Hmm...I'll do something to do with dance: pa de sha.
Three words, I know. It's a ballet move that's French for "step of the cat". Cool, huh? Not really something you're going to be using every day, but still. I had to do something dance-ish.
Did you know that all the ballet moves are really just something in French? Haha, you probably did. I'm just so slow that I didn't think about it until like last year, lol! I don't know what everything means yet, but I'll get there. It's funny, I wonder if I could talk to French people in ballet terms...lol!
--------------------------
I am cold. And I have wet hair. And I'm getting a headache.
Okay! I turned on the heat :D Complaining is over!
The final book in the Farsala Trilogy is good. I'm more than halfway done. I'm reading it slowly so it won't be over so fast, lol! The second one is still my favorite, which is really strange. Usually I like the first book in a series the best. Hilari Bell just got better, though! I know this is going to sound very sexist, but she's amazing at coming up with battle plots and stuff for a girl. I suck that that kind of stuff. I have to glean info from all the guys I know on what to say about battle tactics, lol!
Umm...wow. I really don't have much else to say. It's been chilly out for a couple of days, which basically sucks.
Okay, I'll just stop wasting your time, lol! Carpe diem!
*stares at screen...raises an eyebrow...and types this*
Sorry for that really depressing, complaining post last night. I just felt really bad. I'm a little better today.
Oh, but more bad news :( You know how I wanted to have my party on FEBRUARY 13th since that was a Friday the 13th? And then we didn't move so I couldn't? But then we moved and there was a MARCH Friday the 13th? So I was gonna do it then? (Sorry. Like, everything's a question...) Well, now I'm not having it this Friday the 13th either. Because some people couldn't/can't come. :( It sucks, right? *sigh*
School starts back up today. Hmmm. Ugh. Debate (gahhhh!), physical science (*sob*), literature (yay!), Latin (*MOAN*), philosophy (give me that philosophy book!!), math (help me), american government (so...?). AHHHH! I hate this. Summer can't come fast enough. Debate is killing me. And not only me, my partner as well!! It's not fair of me. I MUST DO BETTER RESEARCH. Math...ehh. I'll get it eventually. You know. Before I die anyway. Physical science is kind of like the nightmare that never ends. Latin is about the same as physci.
I know, I know. Shut up, stop complaining, close the blogging window, AND GET THE HECK TO WORK. Okay. I will.
Bye!
And maybe this is cheesy, and I don't know what your thoughts are about God or anything, but pray for me to do my work well today. I always go into it thinking I'm gonna do amazing today, but I always...don't. Or rarely do. I know I can do really well! I just don't. So, pray for me, y'all!
