Twenty-One Christmas Pet Peeves

How do you like the new background? :) Thanks, ***Emily***! Should I leave the snowmen, or switch to the one without them?

Now, with only twenty-one days until Christmas, how about some of my personal pet peeves about the "holiday" (grr) season?

1. When people complain that "Xmas" is taking Christ out of Christmas. It's merely an abbreviation, people, and it's actually very religious. It comes from the Greek letter chi (kye), which is the symbol for Christ.

2. When people cloud the joy of Christmas with the fact that Jesus dies. Yes, he dies, but we have EASTER to mourn that! Let's be happy about our savior at Christmas!

3. Candy canes

4. Complaining kids who didn't get all the stuff they wanted.

5. When little kids ask you if you believe in Santa. (Really, how do you answer that??)

6. Nativity dolls with weird faces

7. Colored, blinking lights on Christmas trees

8. Feeling sick after being warned not to eat too much

9. Neighbor's Christmas lights that are so bright that there's pseudo-daylight in you room at night

10. Mistletoe

11. Spray-on snow

12. Teenagers who are "too cool" for Christmas

13. That dropped-off-a-cliff feeling the day after Christmas

14. Getting that present you'd been hoping you wouldn't get

15. People who make snide remarks about your favorite old Christmas movies

16. Maurice Chevalier

17. Staying long periods of time at adult Christmas parties

18. The fact that there are no commercials for toys for outside anymore, only electronics

19. People who say "Happy Holidays!" just to be politically correct

20. Idiots on the highway when commuting to spend time with relatives

21. People who celebrate Christmas but shun the whole reason for the season

Haha, hoped you liked hearing all that complaining ;)

MERRY TWENTY-ONE-DAYS-UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

An Epic Song Epically Fails in Latin

Wow, two new followers! How awesome is that? Thanks, Izori and Einar!

Well, I took Bethany's advice and switched my internet browser from Internet Explorer to Firefox. So far, so good! It'll take me a while to get used to the slightly different way it works, and we all know how I detest change, but I think I'm going to be happy with this. One thing I'll have to get used to is the spell-check thing. Whenever I type "lol", it freaks out -.- I know I can just add "lol" to the dictionary, but I'm not sure if I want to. We'll see.

Remember that song "Preliator" by Globus that I posted a few days ago? I posted the Latin lyrics and challenged you all to see if you could translate it.

Well, I couldn't translate it in my head right, which was bugging me, so I started trying to work it out today. I made a frown-worthy discovery:

It doesn't mean anything.

Sure some of it make sense, but if the Latin lyrics I found are correct, whoever wrote the song had no idea what they were doing. The endings are inconsistent, and in some places not even correct. Like, some of the endings used don't even exist.

Even where I can translate whole chunks, it doesn't make sense. "I eat the family"? Um, no. But that's what it seems to say. I'm even overlooking the fact that the ending for "family" is incorrect.

Also, maybe this is just whoever wrote down the lyrics, but the words "dies" and "deus" are used interchangeably. *eyebrow* Um, sorry, they may sound alike (DIH-ace and DEE-us) but "day" and "God" aren't exactly synonyms.

*sigh*

Who knows, maybe I'm just a lowly high schooler who doesn't know her Latin, but...I don't think that's COMPLETELY the case for sure.

Sorry. Opposite from last night, I'm kind of grouchy right now. It's because of my sister. It's like she's been taking stupid pills lately.

She's plenty smart, really. She's funny, nice, helpful, good with people, and plenty smart. She has 0 confidence, though. I mean, really 0. And it's all happened all the sudden. She wasn't like this a month ago. I can't image what happened. I mean, I'm sure it's hormones, but she's driving me CRAZY. Typical conversation in the car:

Me (to my dad): I've been listening to this awesome song Kyle showed me lately.
Daddy: Oh, cool. What's it called?
Me: "Preliator". I can't wait to get an iTunes card so I can buy some more songs like that.
Lizzy: Did you say you can't wait to get an iTunes card so you can buy some more songs like that?
Me: Yes. (back to my dad) Anyway, do you want to listen to "Preliator"?
Daddy: Sur--
Lizzy: Did you say do we want to listen to "Pre...Pre..." What's it called?"
Me: "Preliator". Yes, that's what I said. Do you?
Daddy: Sure.
Lizzy: Um...
(I plug in my iPod and we start listening to it. Daddy turns it up a little. He likes music loud, like me.)
Me: Isn't it cool? It has kind of an eerie sound, don't you think?
Daddy: It d--
Lizzy: Did you say it has an eerie sound?
Me: YES!! (I turn around to look at her) For heavens sake! Stop repeating everything back to me!
Lizzy (looking shocked and hurt): I'm just trying to make sure I get it right.
Me (highly frustrated): Well, I wasn't even talking to you, so it doesn't really matter!"

*sigh* That's how every conversation has been lately. She repeats EVERY FREAKIN' THING you say, and then asks you what words mean. Words that she knows! "What does 'take advantage of' mean?" "What's a snort?" "What's bacteria?"

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

And my mom is out of town, so I have to help Lizzy with her school work half the time, too!! Imagine trying to teach math to her when she's acting like this! Just reading half a page of her rhetoric book takes her thirty minutes and she has to ask me every sentence what stuff like "opportunity" is!

(repeat above exclamation)

She's not stupid, I don't want you to think that. But she sure is ACTING stupid. She's not. I'm sure of it. She's never been this do-less before. She's always been...I don't want to say "slow", 'cause that's not it. Just...now I don't want to sound cocky by saying "not as fast as me". But do you know what I mean? And she's always had confidence issues. But this is crazy! And it's driving me crazy!

(repeat above repeated exclamation)

*sigh* Sorry. I know this was long, ranting, personal and possibly mean. I just wanted to share this frustration. God knows I'm in need of a serious dose of patience right about now. Prayers would be appreciated, but I know there are a lot more important things going on in y'all's lives than me snapping my sister's head off, lol!

The God of Loser, Failure and Jerk

There was a guest pastor at my church today, and he was interesting. It was extremely difficult to follow his line of thought, and he went off on so many bunny trails, but I got a few random good things from his sermon. My favorite was this:

In the Bible, God is often referred to as "the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob". If you think about those three people, Abraham left a lot of things unfinished, or didn't finish them right. You could kind of see him as...well...a little bit of a loser.

But Isaac came behind him and picked up where he left off. God has placed Isaacs in our life to help us out. Of course, Isaac was kind of a wussy who didn't really fix things a whole lot either...He couldn't even finish was was already started a lot of times! What a failure!

Then you have Jacob, who was the go-get-'em type. He liked to seize the moment, which was sometimes great, but sometimes ended badly. God has placed some Jacobs in our lives to help us live in the moment, too. Then again, Jacob's rash attitude earned the reputation for being a tiny bit of a jerk...

So, basically, all three of these guys kind of failed. Abraham never finished anything, Isaac never finished anything right, and Jacob was just too out-there sometimes.

And that's when Joseph comes in. Joseph did EVERYTHING right! He stayed close to God, he was brave, he was strong, he became second-in-command of Egypt, he saved his entire nation! Joseph picked up with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had stopped and he tied everything together. Joseph was awesome!

So...wait.

Why doesn't the Bible say "the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph"?

Our God is the God of the underdogs :) God is on the "losers" side. Thank goodness! We're all "losers" from time to time! Our God isn't just the God of the rich, famous and successful. God is a personal God who's rooting for all the "jerks", "losers", and "failures" right along with the "winners"!

Now, of course, all those titles are in quotation marks, because are any of us really "losers", etc.? No. We might act like jerks or losers sometimes, but, guess what?

God doesn't make losers!

We're all winners in the long run, but just to show us that he's on our side even when we look bad, God calls him self "the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob".

I thought that was kind of interesting. What did you think?

Just really quick, I want to share a link to a cool song that Kyle showed me. He finds cool music like this and sends it to me. I usually (actually always) love it.

This song is called Preliator, and the words are in LATIN!! How cool is that? If you could understand them, it'd be even better...lols XD I found the lyrics, though, so if anyone besides me feels like translating, here they are:

Hosana Meus
Fortuna deus
Aeterna Teus
Mystre, Morte, Sancte Pior

Fortuna hosana deus
Legionus ab comae
Fortune fortuna equis
Ad pugnatoris in veritae
Hossana meus
Fortuna dues

In sanctus

Aeternus praetor
Firmitas semper
Coryphaeus
Rex Regis universe
(Prosay solis hosanna
Protego sanctus causa
Padre illuminata
Gloria in resurrectem
Gloria in unum diem)

Terra tenebrae

Lacrimosa, lacrimosa

Actually, I feel an award coming on...See if you can translate any one section of this. You can use Google if you want to, but try it without first. If you're even moderately successful, let me know in a comment! Hail all the fellow language geeks! :)

YAYY!! And Awards

...

:O

...

:O

...
:O We won our first soccer game today. :O

Did you hear me? WE WONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
More on this after Award Day.
----------------------------
Well, two awards are to be given out today. Who will they go to? Hmm... >:D

JUSTAGIRL4GOD for her flattering interest in "The W Chronicles: Walls"! She gets the Kaelie Kayla Morgan Award for being fun and sparkly just like her! Congratulations, justagirl4god!
The next award belongs to...Drumroll, please.

Illunse for being a fellow language-lover! She gets the Logophile Award! (That's actually "word-lover", but oh well XD)
Congratulations, y'all! :)
----------------------------
So, back to soccer.

Not counting last year's amazing season, that's the sixth game I've won in my whole life. ALRIGHT! I am *SO* happy!! Way to go Josh-from-class (The Nice Guy) for scoring two awesome goals! I kind of missed the other two...don't know how that happened...I was out, asking the principal of the school that I took drivers' ed at about my certificate to get my permit. The one that that guy let expire without telling me? Yeah. That one ;)

The game went pretty well. We could definitely work on teamwork, but hey, we won, right? I got shot in the face pretty good. It didn't hurt exactly; it was just one of those I'll-Be-Fine-As-Soon-As-I-Can-Feel-My-Nose-And-Lips-Again things. I walked off the field and my mom gave me her seat for a second. I just sat there with my eyes closed, waiting to feel something, and I was like, "Was that Zach?" (He's...really good. And a hard kicker. And on my team, yay.) My mom and like three other moms sitting around were like, "Yeah." Lols :-/ I was perfectly fine like two mintues later. It's all good.

WE WON! :) Really, that is exciting, because I thought we were gonna lose every game. Of course, the other two teams we'll be facing...*crosses fingers and looks doubtful of sucess* We shall see.

Play practice was fine this morning. More choreogrpahy, but it was the same dance, so it was pretty much just review. That was good since I had to leave early to go to the soccer game, lol!

No babysitting tonight, hallelujah. (Did I spell that right? I never can.) I found out that Matt and Katie's ("little brother" and "little sister") mom recommended me as a babysitting to another family, so my babysitting might get to be more frequent. We'll see. The kid sounds adorable. He's four. I don't really know who it is yet. I guess I'll find out if they call, lol! At the soccer field, one mom that I know asked me, "So did you get a call about babysitting for that family yet?" I was like, wow, how does she know about that?? I just found out in the car! (And she wasn't the person who recommended me, either.)

Welcome to [insert the name of my tiny town], where everyone knows everything about everyone, sometimes before you do. I honestly love it.

Sorry I'm all over the place today. I know this is a huge and rambling post. Mostly I'm just keeping a record for myself at this point.

My mom is making chicken and dumplings for dinner. They are SOOOO good. She makes the best ones EVER. Wow, I can't wait. And I hate eating, so you know if I'm looking forward to it, it's GOOD.

Well, I guess I'll go now. I need to take a shower. I feel sweaty.

Sorry. You didn't need to know that.

I'm so...hyper. Must be a runner's high. Talk to you guys later!! Vote on the poll!

The Beaches of Ministry

Memory Day! :D A peek into my past...

When I was around two years old, I attended play practice for the Christmas play at my church. I was too little to have a part, but I went along anyway, I guess. During a break in practicing, the adults went aside to talk about some details and make some decisions. Meanwhile, I convinced the older children and teenagers to march around the sanctuary being camels. When the adults looked up from their planning, there was a train of teenagers stomping around the sanctuary pretending to be camels—with me at the front of the procession.

Haha, I don't know if that should really count as a memory--I don't remember it all that well. Mostly I've just heard the story told.
----------------------
First: Thank you, Rochelle Blue for the question! Yay!! So, the rest of you guys are off the hook--for now -.-

Classical Conversations (my weekly "school") was today. It went much better than last week. My class is slowly getting back to its old self. In biology, we looked at a piece of thread and some cheek cells under a microscope. That was pretty interesting, fun, and funny :) I had the best cheek cells :D Lots of epitheleal (spelling??) cells to sketch.

Cassidy and her family stayed for dinner (Domino's pizza), and we went to the revival service at another church where our church band played again.

We have the best church ever :P We play real music, clap, sing, and praise God! Some of the people were kind of shocked that we actually had DRUMS and ELECTRICE GUITARS, but after a few minutes, they seemed to like it. Of course, by the end of the songs, the 23 people who showed up from our church were basically the only people still standing :)

I liked the pastor's sermon a lot. He talked about how funny it is that we make plans, clear our schedules, pack up, load up the car, rent a beach house, take our stuff down to the beach, put on sunblock, set up the chairs, and then try our very best not to get wet or sandy.

Huh?

He said that that's kind of how some of us Christians are about God. We're really excited, but then we get to the "beach" of ministry where it can get a little uncomfortable, and we're ready to step back out of the water. It was really thought-provoking, and the pastor was really funny.

Well, I'm supposed to get off the computer at 10:15 since school started, and it's 10:20 right now, so I better go. Thanks for reading, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't hesitate to ask questions for Question Day :)

Thanks for reading, y'all!

Citizen Soldier

Sorry for not posting yesterday! I was just about to when we had some unexpected company. This lady that my mom works with and her three kids: Daniel (14), Emily (12) and Caleb (10). I had so much fun! I just thrive on people. Being crowded gives me energy, so these past few days of PEOPLEPEOPLEPEOPLE has been so much fun for me!

We all went swimming, and then I got my mom to ask if they could stay for dinner. They did! Yay! Daniel is a really good musician. He taught himself piano from YouTube vids, and now he's taking lessons. Guitar is the same way. He played our old pump organ, and the little keyboard we keep in the unfinished part of the basement! I really like to listen to him play, and he doesn't mind playing in front of people, so that's cool.

Tomorrow we're going shopping for mission trip clothes. I know I haven't said much about the mission trip at all, have I? Well, it's for a week and we're going somewhere seven hours away. I won't say where, though, just for safety's sake (not that I think any of you are stalkers, lol).

I'm kinda nervous, but I don't get nearly as homesick as I used to, so I think I'll be okay. My lil' sister Lizzy is going this year! That's gonna be weird. Not bad (necessarily), just...weird. And so is Matt. That'll be like having a little brother, too. His mom already told me like all this stuff for me to ask him and make sure he does, lol! Hopefully having people to look out for will make me less nervous. It usually does.

Tonight is Challenge B orientation! (AKA, orientation for 8th grade, which my mom teaches.) One of my friends is going to come because her little brother is gonna be in my mom's class, so that should be cool.

I really love Challenge B. Like, I would sit in on the orientation if Kirsten wouldn't get bored to death. Challenge B was, like, the best and funnest year of my whole life.

Well, I need to go, so let me do Word and Picture Days really fast:

Word Day: Agape (pronounced ah-GAH-pay).

No, it's not actually an English word. It's Greek.

"Agape" means love, but not just "love". It means brotherly love, the love you have for your friends and family.

You see, in Greek, there are actually three different words that mean "love": agape, phileo, and eros. Agape is brotherly love, and phileo is kind of the same, only more unconditional (I think). Then eros is more like lust.
Cool, huh? I think we ought to have three words for love, too. It would take away so much confusion, don't you think?

Picture Day:

Whether you believe in this war or not, it is our duty as Americans to support our troops. They put their lives on the line every day for you and me. They are so brave, and we cannot forget it.

Citizen Soldier by 3 Doors Down.

P.S. SOMEONE MADE AN OFFER ON OUR OLD HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? SOMEONE MIGHT FINALLY BUY OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Please pray that this works out!

My Shallow Mind

Well, I got on the computer for like an hour and a half this morning, then spent the rest of it packing and taking a shower. I haven't had lunch yet. I'm just now getting hungry...

I had something really awesome to say, and I forgot it. Dang it.

Anyway, today is QUOTE DAY! I've missed these a lot lately. Okay. Quote:

"You can't cross a sea by merely staring into the water." - Rabindranath Tagore

Very true. I think a lot of times, I just stare into the water. I'm sort of a hesitant kind of person. I have to come up with all the reasons why I SHOULDN'T do something, and then counter all of them. I have to make sure that I really want to do something, that it's the best idea, etc. Unfortunately, I miss out on a lot of perfectly good, fun stuff because of that. I almost didn't go to the mini-camp thing, but then I thought, "Kendra, you never do anything. Like, ever. You're turning into a boring wall-flower and you need to get a life." So, I decided to go :D

I made a quiz on Facebook about myself. It's really hard, because some of the answers are almost ties, lol!

Blogger is still being stupid.

Uhm...I really wish I could remember what I was going to say. It was worth writing about, I remember that much. *sigh* My mind is so shallow. It must be all the computer time.

Which reminds me, I have to get off. I'm down to like twenty minutes of computer time left, and I haven't even written anything.

Shocker.

Anyway, I'm going to go have lunch and then finish packing. Maybe I'll call Ellie B. Although, she's at her cousin's so maybe that would be rude...whatever. I'm getting off. Talk to ya later!

CARPE TUUS (is that singular or plural?) DIEM!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EDIT: Ohh, I just remembered that "carpe" is imperative, so the "you" is implied. DUH. So, forget the "tuus" anyway. Sorry. Okay, I'm really getting off now.
A PICTURE! *GASP*
*jaw absolutely hits the floor* I've heard of miracles, but really, two new followers in two days?? Lol! It's my lucky week! Thanks, Alex! I love your blog, by the way.
Okay, I know you're wondering "Uhh, what's up with the picture?" Well, it's me and the girl that looks like my character! *gasp* I actually figured out how to get a picture on here. That alone derserves a round of applause ;) Just kidding. But yeah. The costume we're wearing are the costumes that we wore for our hip-hop/jazz dance the finale. The one with funky looking hair and a too long nose is me. I'm holding the flowers that my parents got me.
-------------------------
Okaaaay! It's WORD DAY!! Hmm...I'll do something to do with dance: pa de sha.
Three words, I know. It's a ballet move that's French for "step of the cat". Cool, huh? Not really something you're going to be using every day, but still. I had to do something dance-ish.
Did you know that all the ballet moves are really just something in French? Haha, you probably did. I'm just so slow that I didn't think about it until like last year, lol! I don't know what everything means yet, but I'll get there. It's funny, I wonder if I could talk to French people in ballet terms...lol!
--------------------------
I am cold. And I have wet hair. And I'm getting a headache.
Okay! I turned on the heat :D Complaining is over!
The final book in the Farsala Trilogy is good. I'm more than halfway done. I'm reading it slowly so it won't be over so fast, lol! The second one is still my favorite, which is really strange. Usually I like the first book in a series the best. Hilari Bell just got better, though! I know this is going to sound very sexist, but she's amazing at coming up with battle plots and stuff for a girl. I suck that that kind of stuff. I have to glean info from all the guys I know on what to say about battle tactics, lol!
Umm...wow. I really don't have much else to say. It's been chilly out for a couple of days, which basically sucks.
Okay, I'll just stop wasting your time, lol! Carpe diem!
Fire!
Word Day again! I'm gonna combine word day and a regular post, okay?
When I was unpacking some more junk today, I found a Christmas present I'd lost and forgotten: Daily Spanish for Dummies: Pocket Edition. How cool is that?? I'm learning Spanish now! Only the problem is, the tiny pocket version doesn't have a whole lot besides some basic stuff and how to pronounce things. But, it's spurred me on to try to learn Spanish over the summer. I know I won't be fluent in just a few months, but I want to learn what I can. My mom says she thinks she might have the Spanish text book I'll need in Challenge III (eleventh grade/junior year), and she'll get it out for me! Yay!
The down side is that now I can't stop pronouncing things like Spanish. -_- *shakes head hard* Must stop! Lol! Still, I love languages. Especially Spanish.
Which brings me to the word of the day. And, as you probably guessed, it's Spanish :D
Fuego!
It means "fire". I know, very beginner, and I knew it even before I started this "Spanish course", but I love the way it sounds, and, what can I say, I'm a pyro ;)
Terrible Misfortunes
*bites lip hard and takes a deep breath*
OKAY, OKAY, KREVAN, YOU WERE RIGHT.
Lols ;) Carpe (as in "carpe diem") is, in fact, in the imperative. I stand corrected :)
Anyway, I don't have much to post, except that I'm still significantly worried about the physical science exam on Tuesday...I'm just so not good at this! *moan* It's coming along okay, though. I just better get a C or above. 'Cause if I don't, my mom is going to make me take it again over the summer :( But I think I'm safe. I usually do fine on tests, even if I suck at the subject. Mostly due to the fact that I am a seriously good crammer ;)
Um...I'm really sorry, but I don't have hardly anything good to say right now!! Hmm...Okay, here's an idea: I'll find one of my favorite quotes and tell about it :D Kind of second grade, but still. It's something.
Quote: “My life has been full of terrible misfortunes, most of which never happened."
Author: Michel de Montaigne
Why I like it: Well, I like a lot of quotes, so it's really difficult for me to pick my FAVORITE one, but this one is cool because it sort of describes how I live. Even when I was little (playing slaves, orphans, poor people, etc.), my friends and, especially, I were fascinated by the "darker" side of life. Even now, I make up terrible things and pretend like they happen to me. Not seriously, of course! I don't ACTUALLY think they happen, but it's fun to pretend (I get more like a six yeare old by the sentence, don't I? :) )
Anyway, the point is, my life is, sort of unfortunately, very good (parents never divorced, good friends, good grades, good school situation, etc.). And very dull. Nothing exciting EVER happens to me. I mean, little exciting things, sure, but nothing HUGE. Not MY kind of "huge", at least.
My small town life is just PERFECT for a movie/book setting or something. Little town, nothing ever happens, restless teen with a big imagination. I mean, seriously, where is the magical adventure that's supposed to swoop down on me and carry me off on some crazy journey that I later regret wishing for?? *sigh*
I know that won't happen. I know that I'm crazy to even for a second wish that it MIGHT happen. I don't really think it will. I'm not stupid, and I'm actually kind of practical. Still. My life is dull, DULL, DULL, DULL, DULL. I just wish something would happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And nothing ever does!
So, as Montaigne said, I have to resort to making up my own terrible misfortunes. *grins* Talk to you later!
Good Ol' Saint P and Other Stuff ;)
Dia duit!
That's "hello" in Irish in honor of St. Packtrick's Day! Today is awesome, because green is the best color EVER. But I have a confession to make:
I didn't wear green today :(
I don't have any green shirts at the New House yet! I know, it sucks, doesn't it? Oh well. Guess what? St. Patrick wasn't even FROM Ireland! He was just a missionary to Ireland. He was actually Welsh, I believe. And do you know why the shamrock is the symbol of St. Patrick's Day? Anyone? Anyone? (Haha, go watch "Ferris Beuller's Day Off") Well. St. Patrick used the shamrock as an example of how the trinity works: Father, Son, and Holy Spirt are all seperate, and yet one at the same time.
Personally, I don't like the analysis all that much. After all, the three different "branches" of God can be seperate altogether and still function, whereas who ever heard of a one-leafed shamrock? LOL! Still, you gotta meet people where they are, and I guess a shamrock was a readily availible and effective example for St. Patrick to use. *shrugs*
Class was good today. I wonder if last night was a full moon, 'cause we were pretty crazy today! The crazy days are always the best :)
Creepy is going okay. Not amazing, but it's DEFINITELY been worse (haha, y'all know that). I hit 63,000 words the other day (YES!!), and it's up to 120 pages! Hooray! In the words of London Tipton, "yay, me!" :P
Ohhhh! Awesome news! (Don't get your hopes up; it's not THAT great, lol!) I bought this really cute dress today!! Okay, my parents did, but this is a big deal because I usually only wear dresses about three times a year: Easter, and usually there are at least one wedding or funeral in a year. Yeah. I realy don't wear dresses that much, LOL! But this one is sooooo cute! It's green and pink-purple and teal and all swirly and abstract flowery. Okay, that description just made the dress sound really ugly. But it isn't. Really. It's short and it's got this belt and these little sleeves...okay, I know you're thinking that for a writer, I can't describe stuff worth crap. Lol! Oh well. It's cute, anyway :)
Alrighty. That's my day just about. Thought about green (best color ever), had a great day at class, thought about St. Patrick and his iffy analysis, found out how to say "hello" in Irish (wouldn't that be Gaelic, though? *shrugs*), and bought an adorable dress! :D
Not bad.
Carpe that diem!
