Retarded Post

The Sweet 16 party was fun :D It was a little awkward getting warmed up to the other girls, but I still had fun :D

I ate strawberry muffins at Emily's house for breakfast.

And I came home.

And I talked to Shang on Facebook.

And I didn't feel like eating lunch.

And I talked to Shang on FB again, lol.

And I did math. I could have done logic, but I didn't.

And I cleaned a lot. BLECK.

And...here I am. I'm going to babysit in an hour. Fun. It's not like I don't want to go, I just don't want to either. Kind of a *shrug* feeling, you know?

I didn't go to the tournament game last night. Or the one today. Ben (The Dare Devil) is going to hate me. Josh (The Nice Guy) will probably be disappointed. I feel like a failure. Crap.

At least Emily liked the card and present I gave her. I actually made a decent-looking card this time. Usually they look like crap.

*sigh* Maybe I'm tired. I got plenty of sleep though. Like seven hours. Which is plenty. Whatever.

I learned some stuff about some people last night that is good news and bad news. So I'm thinking a lot about that. And that's as specific as I want to get. Sorry.

Okay, this is a retarded post. I'll just stop now. Thanks for reading, play practice for the 31st show starts back Monday. Yay? This time when we do the show, it's the last time FOR REAL. Hmm.

I think I'm hungry. I'm going to eat something.

Okay, so today has been weirdly awesome.

First of all, let me start out by telling you how a typical school day goes for me.

9:30am: Get woken up by mom.
9:45am: Actually get up.
9:40am: Go upstairs and eat breakfast (and read Dear Annie in the paper, catch my favorite comics in the funnies section, read a chapter or two of whatever book I'm reading..."
10:10am: Come down stairs and "start school"
10:11am: Check all my many emails, check my blogs, check Facebook, stalk some people on Facebook (maaaaaybe...)
10:30am: Repeat.
10:40am: Actually start school. Fiddle around with some research for Western Culture, glance at biology, check off twice as much stuff on my list as I actually did.
11:05am: Repeat what I did at 10:11.
11:30am: Do a math lesson.
11:55am: Well, I've been hard at work all morning, so I guess I can just read or goof around until lunch.
12:30pm: Lunch.
1:05pm: Write a paper...or at least a couple of paragraphs...okay, four sentences maybe...
1:10pm: Check Facebook.
1:30pm: Finish paper...or at least a couple of paragraphs...
2:00pm: Check Facebook, emails, blogs...
2:20pm: Do some logic.
2:40pm: Glance over some reading for Art History...
2:50pm: Get side tracked by this old story I found in my room...
3:10pm: Oh, wow! A whole day gone! Guess I'll call it a day.

-.-

Long schedule short: My work ethic sucks. Absolutely SUCKS. I know that, and the people that I admire the most do not have sucky work ethics. I would like the people I admire to think well of me, too.

So.

Today, I decided to exercise the self-dicipline I KNOW I have (...don't I?) and work HARD. Actually HARD.

I was at school by 9:30. I attacked biology with ferver. I got a lot more done than usual, and OMG I UNDERSTOOD IT??????? I did!

Then, I got to work on the bibliography that I'm supposed to have been keeping for six weeks but haven't. It is no easy task tracing down every website you used to find research on the Renaissance, Albrecht Durer, Jan van Eyck, Michelangelo, El Greco, Leonardo da Vinci, the "Pieta", "The Resurrection", and "Arnolfini's Wedding".

But I did it.

Then, I got to work on the vocabulary list I'm supposed to have been keeping for six weeks but haven't. That was a bit easier.

THEN, I FINALLY started working on my Art Grant Project. (Basically, we have to put together a presentation to apply for a "grant" for an art project. We give a presentation to the class, and then the class votes on whether or not we get the grant.)

Step One: Decide on a project.

Yeah. My work strategy basically sucks.

So, anyway, I got up to date on the Grant Project.

Next, a math lesson.

Next, attack a chapter in logic.

By this time it's 3:30pm, and I've only checked Facebook once. I've also had the most enjoyable (NO sarcasm!) and productive day I've had in a long time.

Then, I attack the Art History paper on Leonardo da Vinci some more.

By this time it's 4:15pm. Busy day, crazy, day, but a really fun day! :O :O :O Weird, huh?

So, my dad comes in and tells me that if we want to grab a bite to eat somewhere before the special play practice at 6pm, we should go. (It takes us 45 minutes to get to the play practice town). The special practice was for me and the other people who are working with the Hun puppets.

So, we go eat at Pizza Hut, just me and my dad, which was awesome. I get along with him so well. We always have such a fun, easy time. We're a lot alike.

Play practice went well. Working with a big, heavy-ish puppet is a challenge, and my arm is a tad sore (lol), but I think I'm getting it, and I had a lot of fun. I'm really getting to know people better, and I'm getting to be more of myself around them.

We came home, and watched two episodes of this spy-mystery-action-freaky-action-spy-mystery TV series we got on DVD called Alias. It's so awesome, but this last episode had some stuff set in a creepy, bad-conditions mental institute...do I even have to say that I am a little creeped out?

So, after an awesome day in all ways possible...

I still have to read a ton of "Gulliver's Travels", do some Latin, and read some Art History stuff.

*SIGH*

SLACKING DOESN'T PAY, PEOPLE! And actually doing the work can be more enjoyable than doing nothing all day...

I am a bit worried about getting those three last things, done, though...Tomorrow's schedule:

8:00am: GET UP.
8:30am: Eat something (c'mon, just oneeeee bite...)
9:00am: Get self looking...decent.
9:30am: Leave for play practice.
10:00am: Play practice.
1:00pm: Lunch break.
2:30pm: Resume play practice.
5:00pm: Get out of play practice.
5:30pm: Babysitting
11:00pm (hopefully): Come home, sleep.

...

And WHERE am I supposed to fit in reading "Gulliver's Travels", doing some Latin exercises, and reading loooooong chapters in the Art History books?

Ohh, right, I should have been doing that instead of posting...

XD Ah, well. Some things never change.

Carpe diem, everyone! And sorry for this epic-long post...

Out With the Old, In With the New!

Hi! Sorry for not posting yesterday. We went to a funeral reception, a movie, and then I had to babysit, so there wasn't much time.

Well, tomorrow starts the new Days! I've been thinking, and I think I'm going to change out all the days anyway. I really love Name and Quote Day, but I have other ideas for different Days, so I'm thinking I might rotate everything every once in a while. The way I'm thinking, this is going to be the new schedule:

Sunday: God Day--I share a thought on God.
Monday: Advice Day--I give some personal advice, or quote someone else's advice.
Tuesday: Memory Day--I share one of my favorite memories.
Wednesday: Fact Day--I share a weird fact.
Thursday: Character Day--I'll talk about one of my characters, or a book or movie character.
Friday: Question Day--You ask a question, I'll give an answer.
Saturday: Award Day--I'll give an award to a different follower every week.

What do you think? You'll notice that I omitted "Obsessive Day", even though it's currently winning the poll! Why? Well, I figure that I post about whatever I'm obsessed with anyway, don't I? So why make a special Day for it when I could do something else? Sorry :(

One other thing: for Question Day, I'm going to need some follower participation. Every Thursday, or just whenever, could everyone (if you can) ask me a question? It doesn't have to be about me, it can be just a really weird fact you want to know, my opinion on something, anything. There's no limit to how many you can ask or anything, I just need something to answer for Question Day, lol! You can just leave a comment or email me (lol, as usual). livinglovinglaughinglearning@gmail.com.

Muchas gracias!! Well, I don't really have that much to say...Oh, wait, yes, I do!

We ate lunch at this little lakeside restaurant today with David and Daniel ("brothers"). I don't know if you remember, but I posted before about how eating there makes me feel sick? And I kept experimenting, getting different things to eat and stuff, and my dad and I came to the conclusion that it must be something in the well water that disagrees with me. So, today I got a bottled drink, so it wouldn't have well water ice in it.

SUCCESS!

So far, zero sick-feeling! Yay! I can eat at the restaurant again without worrying! Hooray for experimenting, hooray for science, hooray for being able to enjoy food (as much as I ever can, at least)! :)

Mystery solved.

Now if I can just solve the mystery of speed-math....

Vets, Colds, and Computers

First things first: followers are the greatest! I only wish my retarded computer would load the page so I could see who my fortieth follower WAS. *growls* I can't quite remember their name. It's like just4god or something...*moan* I'm sorry I can't properly recognize you! If the page will load for anyone else, please tell me who follower number 40 is, will you? Thanks, and thanks just4god or whatever for following! Yay! 40 followers! I never thought I'd see the day.

Second things second: Word Day! And my word is: desconsolado.

First person to explain that to me gets an award. We all know it will be Cavender, but let's wait and see for sure.

Third things third: Today was okay. Mostly. I finished the Da Vinci Code, which was *very* good, took my dog to the vet, ran out of tissues for my cold, had a rough afternoon, ate a great dinner, watched Wizards of Waverly Place with the family, ate a slice of pizza, pretzels, and a Go-Gurt, then here I am. And my chin is itching...hopefully it isn't poison ivy.

So, basically, I have a cold, my dog has a double ear infection, I'm too full, and I thought about Him a lot today.

Still had a good day. My chin itches.

Last night at like midnight, I wrote like a page and a half of "Mirror". It's okay. It's a little more formal than the rest of the book, though. Weird. My writing style kind of tends to mimic whatever I'm reading at the moment, and The Da Vinci Code is written with slightly bigger-than-usual words, so I guess that's rubbing off on me.

We finally got a new router for the computer! Yay! It was going great until like...just now. Great. It's SLOWER THAN MOLASES again. We have such rotten computer luck.

Oh, I also have a new gadget, the page-hit counter! I started it at 1000, because I figure in the year I've had this blog, surely it must have been visited that many times. I was going to start at 100 instead, but I accidentally clicked "finish" or whatever before I had the chance.

Gracias to everyone who liked my eye yesterday, lol! Lizzy's amazing with cameras.

I hate how boring I am today. I'm sorry.

Sdrawkcab Names :)

Omg, guess what?? I went out to look at my garden today and was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY! I had:

-six HUGE zucchini (two and half inches thick and some a foot long)
-six gorgeous yellow squashes
-two big green peppers

YAY!! Who knew my garden whim would become such a success?? Not me, that's for sure.

Today started out really boring. I got up at 9:15-ish, ate two Straberry PopTarts, got on the computer, did a bunch of nothing, made my bed, ate lunch (chips, salsa, and a Go-Gurt), got back on the computer, went outside to sweep the front porch and back patio (which is ridiculously HUGE and hard to sweep), came inside, ran around trying to get my endurance up (more on that later), did a bunch of crunches (more on that later, too), went out and picked my garden (already said more on that), and now I'm here.

Over-all, the day hasn't been too bad. I actually did stuff besides computer, which always makes me feel good.

The reason I'm trying to get my endurance back up is this: a couple of days ago, Daddy says, "Oh, Kendra, don't let us forget to sign you up for soccer." And I'm like *blink* "Oh yeah. Uh-oh."

Every year, I swear I'm going to STAY IN SHAPE until next soccer season, and every year, I don't. Soccer rolls around and I'm the last one to finish laps, and I meet back up with everyone gasping for breath.

I made a similar promise not to sit around all summer this year, but summer's almost over and that's what I've done! Yikes!

So, starting today, I'm going to exercise daily, a little harder every day. Soccer will NOT catch me unprepared THIS year.

:D

About the crunches, well, I used to pride myself on how strong my stomach muscles were, but since I've been so lazy lately, I'm afraid they're going to be pitiful for dance "season" coming up in September. Yeah, SEPTEMBER, but it's never too early to get in shape.

I did some sit-ups and stuff on vacation (did I mention that? I don't remember.), and I was sore the next day. Today, I wanted to see if that had improved my ab-strength at all. It has! Yay! I did 100 crunches without cramping up. Hooray for being in shape (ish)! I'm going to try to keep this up.

Well, today is *looks at calender* wait, it's Thursday? Oh, whoops. So yesterday was Wednesday, and I put a picture up thinking it was Tuesday.

I'm so out of it.

Okay, so here's the quote for yesterday:

"Talking with you is sort of the conversational equivalent of an out of body experience." -Bill Watterson

Hahaha, I think that's so funny!

Okay, NAME DAAAAAAAAY! *crowd goes wild*

The name of the day is...

Neveah

It's "heaven" spelled backwards. Isn't that creative?

Hmm, I wonder what you get if you spell other stuff backwards...

Evol (Love)
Sterces (Secrets)
Enigami (Imagine)
Dirot (Torid)

Whoa, some of those are really cool! I actually really like those! Enigami (ee-NIH-gah-mee) is probably my favorite. Then Sterces (STIR-sees). Then Dirot (DEER-ot). Then Evol (ee-VOHL).

I think they could all work for a boy or a girl (except Enigami; that sounds like a girl's name to me).

That was actually really fun. But now I better go before I just start rambling. *sigh*

Carpe--you know the drill ;P

Summary

Got "Twilight" the movie yesterday, watched it today.

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait for the "New Moon" moive (November 20th, this year. Never too early to get psyched up about it :D :D)

Don't have much time, so I'll do a quick run-though of my life:

Debate is going well.
Creepy is NOT. I'm at a standstill and I don't know why.
I "just" found out I have another 3 to 5 minute speech due in about four weeks.
I need another hair cut. I feel like my hair is too long. AGAIN.
Math is okay...haven't really done much of it this week :D
Science, I'm trying not to think about.
I am really P.O.-ed at my computer right now.
No one is reading Carpe Noctem. Which is sad.
Hardly anyone is reading THIS blog anymore, also sad.
I think I have an eating problem (will expand on this in a second).
I'm afraid one of my friends might be anorexic (will NOT expand on this).
I was feeling really good inside until I started explaining my life point by point.

Okay, eating problem expansion! Every time I eat much, I feel really sick and my stomach gets all crampy. Maybe I have chrome's disease (or however you spell it). I'm significantly freaked out, but it could just be me.

*sniff sniff* I'm hungry :(

Bye! :D

P.S. I have mood swings a lot...
