That is the question. I'm searching the depths of this cosmic world for the answer.
AKA, my internet buddies XD
As of now, this is what my ears look like:
Plain. Unimpaled. Virgin. Unscathed. Whole.
See also "unpierced".
Thus we come to the deep, philosophical question I'm struggling with: Should I pierce them or not?
So far I've left them untouched because I don't think piercing them is worth it. It's girly, I'm not. It involves jewelry, something I don't even wear. It would be a hassle, and if I don't even care, why bother? It's just something extra to keep track of and remember (and clean twice daily for four-to-six-weeks).
My 13-year-old sister Lizzy votes to pierce them. Actually, she votes "PLEEEEEASE DO IT! DOITDOITDOIT, JUST DOIT." I vote "Ehhhh....I dunno."
I sort of feel like I might as well, to open up the option of earrings if I ever wanted them. If I end up hating the hassle, I can always just keep some plain studs in and forget about it. Or let the wholes grow over. But then again, if I'm going to end up not caring/hating it, why do it in the first place?
So you see my dilemma. Assistance would be greatly appreciated XD What are you thoughts? Do you have pierced ears? Do you like them? Do you have "virgin ears"? (XD) Do you like them? Pros of ear-piercing, cons of ear-piercing...Share your thoughts! I've been debating this for months...

I dunno... I"ve had my ears peirced since I was a couple weeks old, and I like it. Yeah I'm girly but... still. Its not that much of a big deal you can pu tsome plain little studs and not take 'em out. And when you decide you wanna wear something you can. I like it, personally. SO I say... "TOO PIERCE!" lol :P
I mean really... wouldn't you have liked to have worn something to that prom thing you went to??? Haven't you ever wanted to?

PIERCE THEM
HUM. I dunno. This is something I wonder about a lot as well! Hehe, the girly thing especially. I consider it too girly for me personally, right now. But on the other hand, I do sometimes wish I had them pierced...
I'd kinda like to have, say, a little gold ring halfway up one ear....I occasionally wear a SINGLE clip-on halfway up the poor ole ear, just to look like a punk :P But it hurts..oh it hurts...
So I really can't say! lol...you could wear some really hardcore earrings...they must exist...avoid Claire's though, I think all the stuff there is PINKPINKSHINY. ;)
Good luck...I hope you make the right decision :)
pierce them. it is a hassle in the beginning, true. and it doesn't even really matter if you're girly or not...you can just go ahead and put on some plain studs like you mentioned and forget about them.
I'm not one to ask...I have two piercings in each ear. (and I'm not girly. It all depends on what kind of cool earrings you can find)
I've been curious about this issue myself, so I looked to the Bible for help, and all the verses I found took a stand against disfiguring/piercing/cutting the body.
Here are the verses that I found:
Leviticus 19:28
Deuteronomy 14:1
Genesis 35 (specifically the part where Jacob, in order to cleanse his household for God, tells all his family to rid themselves of any earrings)
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Hope this helps.
God Bless

I did...and I don't regret it * * *

I know three women with disfigured ears from earings pulling out and one woman with a nerve problem associated with an ear piercing.
As for whether or not to: little kids love to yank on them.
I personally have a dislike for them. It says that this girl doesn't like the way God made her.
But they are sparkly. :)
If you decide to do so, don't wear crosses or symbols representing God, because He is not who you disfigured your body for.
I don't think it hurts at all...just a little pinch. I was really worried about the "pain" before I got mine done...and then I felt like a complete idiot for stressing out about it when I could barely feel the needle...ha ha * * *
I LOVE Claire's! LOL
Cool hats and stuff in there! (But everyone has their own opinion I guess)
Go for it!
But not until your sure about it ~ But I regret hesitating for 2-3 years that's for sure!LOL xo

I have had my ears pierced two times. Once when I was 12. I let the holes close up because it was annoying. Then I did it again, in the same place I had previously let close up a few years later. I let the holes close up again.
I like earrings, and I thought I would like wearing them, but I didn't. They feel weird sometimes, and if you aren't super girly then it will be weird for you to wear them. I think it's harder for people to get their ears pierced later in life because they have already lived so long with "virgin ears" so it's harder to get used to when you have these foreign objects in your ear lobes.
Plus you have to worry about matching them with outfits and cleaning your ears and all that jazz so they don't get infected. I just saw it as a hassle. Don't do it if you are iffy about it because it will just become annoying to you.
Go for it. I've had my ears pierced since I was thirteen and I've never worn any other earings besides the studs I got them pierced with. Nobody will notice if they're not very interesting.
I got my ears pierced when I was seven. Don't worry about the pain, its not as bad as people make it out to be. I'm actually looking to get a second hole.
I would say, pray about it. (:
But my vote is yes.
Oh, and Bethany, I shop at claires for earrings, and I wouldn't say to avoid it. I've got some very awesome NON-PINK earrings from there. LOL.
I'll have to show them to Kendra sometime.
Bleah: Good feedback. Thanks, girl!
KnightWing: XD Mkay. We shall see. I am leaning towards that...
Bethany: Another fellow girl caught in indecision. *dramatic sigh* :D My eventual goal is to have two piercings on each ear, and then one at the top/half way up my left ear.
Shruti: Mkay :)
Lady: Yay! That's like what I would want to have eventually.
No Name: XD
Araken: Great thoughts! I might make a post out of this...XD
Laura: Thanks for telling me!
Tragedy: Do you shave? Because the same principles you mentioned about ear-piercing can apply there too. You shave? *gasp* You must not like the way God made your hair!
Laura: Good to know!
Two Peas: Hmm, so true...Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts!!!
Steph: True too...
Hatter: :) 'Kay :D

No, I don't shave. I don't have any facial hair, yet. Thanks for bringing it up, Miss Kind and Understanding.
