So, hi :) I don't have any more character introductions ready just yet, so today is going to be a plain post. A not-too-long plain post :)
Today I was tired. (Four hours of sleep.)
Today I was nervous. (Ill-prepared debate.)
Today I was freaked out. (Big, black grasshopper dissection.)
Today I was pained. (Headaches suck.)
Today I giggled. (My short hair makes for cute pigtails XD)
Today I wore my coat ALL DAY. (Just a cold-natured person.)
Today I answered useless Facebook questions. (Boredom.)
Today I poked a grasshopper's stomach. (Dissection.)
Today I plan to write. (Ashlyn's story.)
Today I plan to read. ("Intertwined" by Gena Showalter.)
Today I plan to watch Alias. (Sark <3)
Today I plan to go to bed early. (Four hours of sleep.)
Today I didn't make my bed. (Shh!!)
Today I didn't doodle in math. (I'm trying to try, LOL XD)
Today I didn't remember to print two copies of my school assignment. (Fail D:)
Today I didn't straighten my hair. (Too tired. And pigtails.)
Tomorrow I will do my best in school. (Because I should.)
Tomorrow I will go to dance. (Because I love it.)
Tomorrow I will text Cavender. ('Cuz I do.)
Tomorrow I will wash my clothes. ('Cuz I need to. Rly bad.)

Advice Day
EDIT: Oh my gosh! OH MY GOSH! I have 100 followers?????????? :O
Made. My. Day.
Y'all have no idea how much I've wanted to get to 100, and had doubts of whether I would. Thank you SO MUCH nascar_38_2! You are amazing. Wow. Thank you.
(Wow...)
Now for the original post...

Hai.
Sorry, I know, I haven't posted since Sunday. I missed Fact or Fiction Day, AND Memory Day D: Monday was sort of HORRIBLE, so I didn't feel like posting, and then yesterday I was too busy being tired and Skyping XD
Right now, I've knocked out three of six subjects for the day! I should feel happier than I do. I'm not really happy about it. I think it's because debate is one of the subjects I still have to do, and that's a really big job.
We've had five weeks to prepare for this debate, but anyone who knows me will tell you that giving me lots of prep time doesn't really help. Let's just say I'm a fan of the group, "SWEET! My homework is due in a week, that gives me 6 days to relax." XD
Also, I might be just a TEENSIE bit *gasp* NERVOUS about this debate. (Yus, me, nervous about arguing.) We had a debate meeting last Thursday. The affirmative went off and worked together, and then negative (I'm negative) went off to work together. Apparently most of the affirmative's discussion centered around how to take me down D:
At first I thought the guy was kidding when he told me that, but he was serious O.o Great, thanks, guys. FEELING THE LOVE.
Although, I guess part of me has to be flattered that they consider me such a worthy/scary opponent >:D As well they should. I don't care that I've done barely anything these five weeks to prepare. My partner Jessie and I are gonna rock our opponents' worlds and come out on top.
Heh, I'm not competitive or anything... >.>
Well, I know today was Advice Day, so I guess I should leave you with something at least philosophical. Hmm...okay, how's this?
Be careful when you try to psych someone out in a debate. It might just make them stronger than before >:D

The Weekly "Most" Awards for Schoolwork
So far, the leading Days in the schedule poll are
#1: Character Day
#2: God Day
#3: Fact or Fiction and Name Day
If you want that to change, vote :)
So, yesterday was the first day back at school. So far, I'm trying to be a better student than I was last semester. I got all good grades and everything, but I wasn't trying my best by any stretch of the imagination.
The Weekly "Most" Awards for Schoolwork
Latin - the Most Surprising
I actually don't hate Latin this semester :O Instead of memorizing junk that's too hard and not that important in real life, we're using our skills to read Caesar's battle notes! How cool is that?? I was like, "AWESOME!!!"
British Lit - the Most (*struggles for the word...and can't find it* -.-) Unique/Unusual/New Assignment
We have to learn to take notes on a book. We're using "A Passage to India" and we have to keep a written list of the characters in the front of the book, write summaries above each chapter, write summaries for each page, circle words we don't know (then look them up and write the definitions in the margins). I think that's a cool assignment. A really good skill to get before college.
Music History - the Most Enjoyable
Basically, Stravinsky's Rite of Spring is GENIUS and Debussy's La Mer is right behind. I LOVE THOSE. And the final in this class will be to be able to recognize a piece by hearing a random ten-second clip of it. No sweat. Audio is my best way of learning. This is gonna be a cinch. A really FUN cinch XD
Biology - the Most the Same
...pretty self-explanatory.
Drama - the Most Easy
We read a play out loud in class, and that's all. We don't even have any homework in this class. And it's pretty fun, too. We're reading "Harvey" right now, and it's great.
Debate - the Most Disappointing
Blegh.
Math - the Most Boring
*zzzzzz*
The end :D
Dance tonight! Yay! Talk to y'all later!

Drama and Debate
Memory Day:
Hmm...Ah, I've got a good one ;D
When I was little, I was very persuasive. I remember multiple times when I tricked the babysitter into letting me do things I wasn’t supposed to, but the funniest instance occurred when my grandparents were babysitting me. I was about two at the time. I told them I was thirsty, and so my grandfather and I went to the fridge to get something for me to drink. I spotted a bottle of something that looked interesting in the fridge.
“That,” I said. “I want some of that, please.” I can remember my grandfather’s confused and hesitant frown.
“Your mother lets you drink lemon juice?” he asked.
I put on my most solemn face and nodded.
“Yes,”I said.
After a moment of convincing, my grandfather poured me a Sippy cup of lemon juice. I’m not sure if he really believed me, or just decided to humor me, but either way, the lemon juice was awful. I remember thinking that next time I should probably be careful what I persuade people of.
XD
-----------------------------
Hey, y'all! Thanks for your encouraging words these last few days!! Your awesome comments have helped me out more than you know :) Feel special XD
Debate went very well today. My partner (Cassie Roads) and I won!! The debate was:
Resolved: The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) should be abolished.
We were affirmative, and our points were that the NEA should be abolished because...
1. It's unfair to force the American people to support the NEA through their tax dollars when they might not agree with the art being promoted.
2. The NEA is unnecessary, and it's silly for us to be putting our money toward something unnecessary when we could be paying off America's GIANT debt.
3. The NEA is unconstitutional, because the Constitution clearly states that unless specifically said to be the government's job, the power rests with the people. The Constitution does not say anything about the government supporting art, so the government should stay out of it.
We won our debate :) Yay! It definitely helped that I agreed with our side. I do believe that the NEA should be abolished.
Cross examining my opponent was my favorite part XD I love cross x. I love leading people to agree with harmless little points, and then asking them a question that proves MY point, only I've gotten them to sort of say they agreed with it already.
Example:
Me (who thinks government support should be removed from artists): "Would you say that art is important in American society?"
Opponent (who wants government funding to continue): "Oh, yes!"
Me: "But is it VERY important?"
Opponent: "Yes. It is VERY important in today's society."
Me: "So if art is VERY important for Americans today, don't you think it will flourish without government support?"
XD Not too original, but that's how I roll.
Anyway, today has been pretty good. Other classes were kind of boring, but whatever. Oh, there is a bit of drama going around. *rolls eyes* Involving texting using other peoples' cell phones, and crushes that may or may not be real...
-.- Drama, drama, drama. *sigh* And we're usually so good at staying away from this kind of junk between each other. I don't want to think this, but I do believe it has a lot to do with one our our new classmates. *shrug* I repeat: whatever :P
I have play practice for Mulan tonight! Yay! 7-9:30pm. Long one :-/ Oh well. Still fun.
Uhm...Sorry for rambling about mostly nothing. Stress is slowly leaving, yay. Debate was a lot of pressure.
Thanks again for all your wonderful comments, and welcome back to the blogosphere, Krevan!

[Insert Title Here]
Advice Day!
"Having fun is easy; it's knowing when to stop that's hard." ~Kendra Logan
-----------------------------
Well, today kind of sucked. But it's better now, so I'm going to focus on the positive. I finished writing the 1AC for debate, which was great. It had really been weighing down on me, having to worry about getting it done. Now all that's left, I guess, is to see what happens. *sigh*
I really hope I don't lose! That would be sad. Maybe this is petty, but I have never, ever lost a debate in my whole life, and I want that streak to continue for as long as possible, lol! XD
I talked to my Brain Half yesterday, so that made things a little better. We're still in perfect mental sync, lols! Just kidding. Ish.
Tonight I have play practice at 7pm, soccer practice at 8pm, and this PSAT meeting at my house at 7pm...er, hmm...
Yeah, I can't do it all, obviously, which sucks. I tend to attack things with kind of a Superwoman attitude, and then when I can't do it all, I get frustrated with myself. *sigh* Oh well. Tonight, I'm just gonna shoot for play practice. Soccer is nothing different than usual, but play practice is something new and un-missable every time. The PSAT meeting is mostly for parents. So, I guess it's a no-brainer.
Writing has been HAHAHAHA-Writing-That's-A-Good-One lately. I've barely had time to breathe much less write :-/
I'm not in a bad mood right now, but I don't have much to say because everything I've done or thought all day has been purely academic.
And now my mother is pestering me about cleaning up downstairs even though I've said about thirty times in the last five minutes that I'll do it in JUST A SECOND. Geez.
Okay, now I AM in a bad mood -.-
Whatever. So much for today. Do you want me to stop posting for a couple of days until I can stop being so negative?

P.S. I got my signature fixed. Yay.

Nostalgia
Quote Day:
“The world is full of people whose notion of a satisfactory future is, in fact, a return to the idolized past.”–Robertson Davies
So, today was the first day of school at home.
*groan*
NOW I remember why I prayed for summer. Doing school for 8 grueling hours with no rest will do that for you. And I'm still not done. I have stuff to do still, but it's BritLit, so it's not that bad.
Subject Rundown:
Latin: Somebody just shoot me. Either the exercises are so easily I want to throw myself off a building, or they're so hard I want to throw myself off a building.
BritLit: Awesome! Interesting, not too hard, great! I love literature!
Art History: Ugh, it sounds fun, but there's SO MUCH TO DO! We have to read all these books, write all these papers, memorize all the stuff about famous pictures, make a timeline of all the big music and art stuff we come across. It's just too much! I really like the books (How Shall We Then Live? and State of the Arts), but there's just too much to do.
Debate: Challenging, but fun, like last year. It's basically the exact same thing as last year.
Biology: Not really hard, just a lot of stuff to read over and work sheets to do. It's not good or bad yet.
Logic: Ridiculously easy, not fun, not what I love, and it's so disappointing! I love logic, but this isn't "real" logic. *scowls*
Alebra 1 (um, again): Do I even have to say anything?
Overall, *sob* I miss Challenge I!! Oh my gosh! You really never realize how good you have it until you're gone! I hate this! I *LOVED* Challenge I! It was, like, the best year of my whole life! (Challenge B was pretty awesome, too, though...). *SOBSOBSOB*
I just CANNOT live in the present, can I?? I was living so in the past last year that I missed the complete and utter AWESOMENESS of the year! And now I'm doing it again! I'll never learn.
But this year really does suck (so far...day two).
And last year really did rock beyond all freakin' compare.
Other than that rant, I have nothing to say. I feel like I'm just barely keeping my head above water, and school has BARELY started.
:'(
Next year when I say that Challenge III sucks and that Challenge II was amazing, come over and kick me, would you?
*sob*

P.S. Vote in the poll, s'il vous plait.

Nothing...
First things first: Thanks to Sam Probert for following! Followers are the best.
Today was pretty good! Woke up at like ten, didn't eat breakfast, did stuff on the computer, at lunch, watched the end of the Disney movie "Cow Belles", got back on the computer, wrote something on Carpe Noctem (which turned out to be pretty lame), ate delicious dinner, figured out how to fix what was wrong with Blogger, talked to some people on gmail, and now I'm typing this with my throat feeling like it's swelling up -_- It did this yesterday at the pool, earlier today, and again now. It really freaked me out the first time, but now that I know I'm not dying, it's just annoying.
Basically, nothing happened today.
We're going to watch "Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl" tonight, which should be awesome.
Uhm...
Wow, that's it. I'll just post my mega-lame Carpe Noctem thought and stop wasting your time:
-----------------------
One thing that really drives me crazy about today's culture is how quick we are to take things in. Or, to put it bluntly, how gullible everyone has become.
Appealing to authority: a logical fallacy when someone believes something just because so-and-so says.
Example: "Leaves DO SO turn purple when they fall off; my big brother says so!"
Everywhere you look, people are shouting out theories and guesses and sometimes even just LIES, and their audience is taking it in like it's proven fact.
Um, sorry, but for something to be "proven fact", it has to be PROVEN first.Think about all the stuff we Americans are taking in by the minute.
Tabloid gossip.
Global warming.
Evolution.
There are more, but those are the ones that come to mind, and that I'm going to try to focus on.
First of all, I completely understand why tabloids print such awful stuff about celebrities, and I can also understand why people read them. No problem there. The problem comes when the general public BELIEVES all that junk just because a trashy magazine says so. Puh-leez. Sure it's fun to read, but don't you think the writers of those magazines are going to try to put the worst and juciest spin on things?
That's kind of a minor issue in my book, though. So people believe gossip, okay. It's not a matter of life or death, or even public intelligence. It's just silly and vaguely annoying, but that's about it.
Now come the big two:
Global warming and Evolution.
I already ranted about global warming, so I won't do it again, don't worry. I'm just going to say that to believe in global warming, you're forced to rely on the least accurate and smallest pieces of information. If you ask any earnest scientist, s/he will tell you that as much comotion as people are making about GW, it's not really a problem. The earth naturally runs in cycles like this. In twenty years, we'll probably be going through a "global cooling" scare again.
Yes, AGAIN. That already happened. And now we're into global warming.
And the disgusting thing is, WE STILL BELIEVE IT!
COME ON, people! Global cooling? Global warming? They're just big hoaxes designed to get us all stirred up.
Don't believe me, though. I don't want you to do that.
I want you to go do some research for yourself. I've done mine, you do yours. Don't take stuff from me or even big shot scientists without looking into it a little. A little healthy skepticism never hurt anyone. In fact, it's actually been known to help occasionally. Especially in times like these when selective use of evidence is booming.
Which brings me to my final section of this tirade: Evolution.
*sigh*
If you believe in Evolution (capital "E"), you are going to skip this section, so I'm pretty much wasting my breath. Still, I'm going to try to straighten this out even a little.
First, define terms. This is really important, especially in an Evolution debate, because there are two definitions to Evolution, and I believe in one of them.
evolution: the belief that things change slightly over time to adapt to their surroundings.
Evolution: the belief that life began as an unguided fluke, then species gradually changed and mutated into completely different species.
Take a wild guess which one I believe? :)
There's really so much I could say about Evolution that I could do a whole series on it.
Which is exactly what I'm going to do.
I'm going to close this post, and begin my series on Evolution.
I'm sorry if this wasn't much of a post. I feel like I wasted a good thought. Hope you don't feel that way.

Fighting for Freedom
Hey. Sorry I didn't blog yesterday! Ellie came over you know, so there wasn't that much time to post. But I *did* think of a challenge!! I know; amazing, right? Haha, it's not even good, but here it is anyway:
Do something you're "too old" to do.
Not like throwing a tantrum in the mall or sucking your thumb. I mean something that you stopped doing just because you're "too old". Play with something. Imagine something. You can pick *what*, just do something. :D
Lame. But not as lame as the last one? Hopefully.
--------------
Okay, that was Friday. Now for Saturday. Carpe noctem day. Ehhh...I got nothin'.
OOOOOOOOH but I do have good news!!
Ellie and I talked about "Mirror" a lot last night and this morning, and we have some great plot ideas! I might actually be able to write today! Yes!! We'll see, though. I mean, if anyone can turn a great idea and some good words into a new case of writer's block, it's me.
-_-
I saw 17 Again today!! Oh. Em. Jee.
GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!
It was funny, had a good moral, and, okay, Zac Efron was in it, so that helps a lot, too, but it was just so good! And he *was* really cute. AWWWWWWW he cries. It was soo sweet!! *sniff sniff* I almost cried, too. And I (almost) never cry in movies unless the older brother dies or leaves or something. (I'm a totally sucker for older brothers.)
Sorry. I didn't mean to go all screamy-girly on you. But it really was a good movie.
*gasp* I just read Puddle Werld (awesome blog that I follow), and the post gave me an idea for a Carpe Noctem thing!! But it's kind of stealing the idea if I talk about it...Oh well. I'm going to use his topic as mine, but by all means go read the original. I don't want to take the credit. (Although, I *am* going to take a whole different approach to it :D) Here's the link: http://www.puddlewerld.com/2009/05/how-can-taleban-be-defated.html

Carpe Noctem Day! :D
Topic: Terrorists: Can't we just live and let live?
To put it simply, NO.
Aren't people basically good deep down?
To put it simply, NO.
I think people are born good to some extent. I mean, we all have a sinful nature and everything, but I don't think anyone is *born* evil. However, people CAN become evil, and once they are, no, they are not "basically good deep down".
Now, some people say that we should stop fighting the terrorists. Leave them alone, they say. Live and let live.I'm fine with that. You're probably fine with that. Most people (serial killers not included) are good with that!
Except the terrorists.
THEY WANT TO KILL US. It's part of their religion. Their Bible says "KILL ALL THE NON-MUSLIMS!"
Ohhhhh but we can't fight back! That's inhumane! They believe they're doing good! LIVE AND LET LIVE!! PEACE!
Yay, peace. Peace is good. But I think for peace to work, both sides have to agree to NOT KILL EACH OTHER.
I am all for peace. Really. As much as I enjoy stirring up trouble and debating, world peace is a wonderful that I want us to have! I think it would be WONDERFUL if we could live in harmoney with the Muslims. Some of them are probably really great people. But as long as they are bombing America, it is America's job to fight back.
America is not "attacking" the terrorists. It is purely self-defense.
What kind of country would we be if we just sat here and let the terrorists kill millions of innocent people just because it's in their religion to do so?
We'd be a wussy country that no one felt safe in, that's what we'd be.
I want peace. But it's not up to us anymore. We HAVE tried to be friends with the terrorists. Didn't work. If we're going to have world peace, it's up to them now. We're fighting in self-defense. Any time they want to come over and have a nice PEACEFUL cup of coffee with us, I say go for it.
But until then, America, keep on fighting. Because we are not a country to be pushed around destroyed just to prove we're "nice guys". We have to fight to be safe. To be free. And that's what America is all about.

A Lil' Bit of Everything
Hi!!
Well, I know y'all are just dying to hear about my philosophy project and its progress, so here it comes ;) IT'S GOING GREAT! Lol, I bet you didn't see THAT one coming, did you? I finished it up today, and my mom said it's really good. Wow! Who would have thought??
I'm a little sad that I don't get to debate again tomorrow (lol), but watching the next round should be fun. Lionkinglover14 and Kirsten (not a blogger) go against Amandaa and Chris G. I feel safe to say that I believe the former will win for two reasons. One: they don't read this blog :P and Two: I happen to know that Chris G and Amandaa weren't a fifth of the way finished on Saturday. Still, there is hope. They're definitely super smart when they put their minds to it :) Lionkinglover14 and Kirsten were finished completely, like, Wednesday :D
Well, we had to read "The Old Man and the Sea" this week. And--
OMG.
I just realized I haven't written the paper on that book. And it's like dinner time the day before. *gulp* I can either do it really fast and no-so-good, or I can beg my parents to give me a couple of days to do it. Either way, I'm probably in trouble...oops :)
Anyway, I didn't like the book a whole lot. It was really simple and didn't have much plot. I didn't even think the moral was particularly good. At least it was short though :) 127 pages in like 14 point font double spaced. I read it in like two sittings (the first sitting doesn't even count because I only read like four pages, lol).
Well, that's all I think...yup. BYE!

Debates and Movie Dates (a.k.a. NOTHING)
TORI AND I WON DEBATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SWEETNESS! :D :D :D :D :D
Yes! I'm very excited about that. Affirmative, y'all did really well. Congrats! (Btw, I have never been on the losing team in debate. Ever. In four years of debate. I'm not bragging, I'm just saying I have a crazy lucky streak going. It can't last much longer. I probably just jinxed myself...that would suck, lol!)
Anyway, I had a KILLER headache this afternoon and around dinnertime, but it went away, so that's cool :)
Hopefully I will be watching Ferris Beuler's Day Off with my dad in like...four minutes. Hopefully. I'm not entirely convinced that A: I will remember that I'm looking forward to that in four minutes and totally forget to go upstairs and remind my dad and B: that he will be finished working enough to watch with me. We'll see.
Update on my possible eating problem: false alarm or something. My stomach doesn't hurt anymore. Maybe it was little virus or something. I dunno.
Creepy is okay. I don't feel blocked right now but I haven't really written anything for a few days (no, I wrote like a couple of paragraphs yesterday).
I'm kind of tired. I wasn't tired this morning when I got up (which is weird for me), but now I am. *shrugs*
I'm rambling. Sorry. Hang on; let me think of something of substance to say...

Summary
Got "Twilight" the movie yesterday, watched it today.
HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for the "New Moon" moive (November 20th, this year. Never too early to get psyched up about it :D :D)
Don't have much time, so I'll do a quick run-though of my life:
Debate is going well.
Creepy is NOT. I'm at a standstill and I don't know why.
I "just" found out I have another 3 to 5 minute speech due in about four weeks.
I need another hair cut. I feel like my hair is too long. AGAIN.
Math is okay...haven't really done much of it this week :D
Science, I'm trying not to think about.
I am really P.O.-ed at my computer right now.
No one is reading Carpe Noctem. Which is sad.
Hardly anyone is reading THIS blog anymore, also sad.
I think I have an eating problem (will expand on this in a second).
I'm afraid one of my friends might be anorexic (will NOT expand on this).
I was feeling really good inside until I started explaining my life point by point.
Okay, eating problem expansion! Every time I eat much, I feel really sick and my stomach gets all crampy. Maybe I have chrome's disease (or however you spell it). I'm significantly freaked out, but it could just be me.
*sniff sniff* I'm hungry :(
Bye! :D
P.S. I have mood swings a lot...

Debate, Aristotle, and the Weirdest Paragraph EVER (haha, now you're gonna read it just to hear the weird paragraph :D)
Okay, I know this sounds crazy, but I actually forgot about this blog for a few days... Haha, sorry!
Well, this week has been okay. Definitely have had worse, definitely have had better. Debate is moving right along. I finally got my butt in gear, and I think my partner and I can win this!! w00t w00t! :) We're debating whether or not the US should call a constitutional convention. My personal oppinion is strongly NO WE SHOULD NOT, but we won't know if we'll be arguing for or against it until we get to class Tuesday, so we have to prepare for both sides. Yikes! I'm kind of nervous, mostly excited. After all, this isn't SUPPOSED to be a huge competition, I just feel like it is. It's really just friendly practice, haha! But when it comes to debate, for me, it's all business ;)
I started (sort of...) my philosophy project this week. I found out it's due a little earlier than I expected...yikes again...I'm doing an oral report (*cough* boring report *cough*) on Aristotle and his philosophy. Aristotle is my favorite out of the famous trio of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Socrates is best known for "inventing" the Socratic method, which is getting someone to understand something by asking questions. He believed that deep down, everyone has all the answers, it's just a matter of digging them out.
Plato believed that there was/is another "realm" where all the ideas for creations come from. He believed that in the Realm of Ideas, there is a perfect copy of everything, and all the things we see on Earth are just duplicates that are sometimes not quite right. For instance, if you look at six black lab dogs, they aren't all going to look exactly alike, are they? But you can tell what all of them are, because their Idea, or their Mold, is the same. Plato thought that in the Realm of Ideas, there exists kind of a "black lab dog mold" and all black labs are made from that mold, they just don't all come out exactly "right." Like when you're making cookies. You use the same gingerbread mold, but each cookie looks a little bit different, right? Same idea.
Aristotle, who was tutored by Plato, disagreed with his mentor on almost every fundamental point possible. Aristotle believed that THIS world, the physical world is the real world. Not some dreamy "Idea Realm." Aristotle was a huge realist. Not many people really got along with him. He was sort of a know-it-all.
I know you're probably wondering why I picked the boring, physical world know-it-all instead of the cool "true insight comes from within" or Mr. "Realm of Ideas." You'd think that someone as obsessed with fantasy and weird opinions and "kooks" would go for Plato. But the reason why I like Aristotle is that he argued with Plato. Really. That's my "big" reason. I just like the fact that he had the guts to stand up to his mentor who was universally known as a genius. Plato had his own SCHOOL, of which Aristotle was just a lucky pupil. And he still stood up to Plato and had the courage to buck him. I admire that. Don't know exactly why, but I do.
Now, if you aren't asleep already, this will surely do it for ya! ;) I'm going to talk about my book. Before you run screaming, I just want to get in one exciting annoucment: I HIT SEVENTY THOUSAND WORDS LAST NIGHT!!! I've got seventy-one thousand now. Oh, yeah! Lol! The story is beginning to wind down. A lot of semi-crucial events left, but we're getting to the end. (Haha, I say "we". I. I am getting to the end. You have to remember, Kendra, YOUR BOOK IS NOT STINKIN' PUBLISHED YET. You are a NOBODY at this point.) Haha, anyway, I'm estimating I have around forty to fifty-ish pages to go before my rough draft is done. I'm so excited! This is the longest thing I've ever written/stuck with/tried to finish/come up with that's actually interesting-ish. Yeah, all of those! YES! I may actually finish this!
Okay, so one more small random thing: I think about all the negative stuff (like, SERIOUSLY), so I've considered the possibility that I could potentially die/get killed before Creepy (Er, The Mirror) is finished. So (haha, this is possibly the weirdest paragraph I've ever written), if I do die, Ellie B, Gabrielle, Kyle Hendricks, and Lizzy are in charge of finishing Creepy for me. Okay? Haha...just thought I'd say that. And now I'm thinking I shouldn't have because that was REALLY weird. (I am considering backspacing this...)
Well, if you're reading it, guess I decided not to. :D Have a great weekend, and remember,
Carpe diem!
-especially if you have an unfinished novel going.

*stares at screen...raises an eyebrow...and types this*
Sorry for that really depressing, complaining post last night. I just felt really bad. I'm a little better today.
Oh, but more bad news :( You know how I wanted to have my party on FEBRUARY 13th since that was a Friday the 13th? And then we didn't move so I couldn't? But then we moved and there was a MARCH Friday the 13th? So I was gonna do it then? (Sorry. Like, everything's a question...) Well, now I'm not having it this Friday the 13th either. Because some people couldn't/can't come. :( It sucks, right? *sigh*
School starts back up today. Hmmm. Ugh. Debate (gahhhh!), physical science (*sob*), literature (yay!), Latin (*MOAN*), philosophy (give me that philosophy book!!), math (help me), american government (so...?). AHHHH! I hate this. Summer can't come fast enough. Debate is killing me. And not only me, my partner as well!! It's not fair of me. I MUST DO BETTER RESEARCH. Math...ehh. I'll get it eventually. You know. Before I die anyway. Physical science is kind of like the nightmare that never ends. Latin is about the same as physci.
I know, I know. Shut up, stop complaining, close the blogging window, AND GET THE HECK TO WORK. Okay. I will.
Bye!
And maybe this is cheesy, and I don't know what your thoughts are about God or anything, but pray for me to do my work well today. I always go into it thinking I'm gonna do amazing today, but I always...don't. Or rarely do. I know I can do really well! I just don't. So, pray for me, y'all!

Packrat Slacker
Hi! Not a lot of school today! The big thing is debate. I need to get goin'. I've been a little (*cough* a lot *cough*) lazy lately. And it's not fair to my partner. So, I'm going to buckle down and read the whole stinkin' Constitution today and come up with reasons for why the US should call a Constitutional Convention. :D Whoopee. No, really, the topic is kind of interesting. It's just the debate part is a little (a lot) overwhelming (is that one word?) the way we have to put it together.
Hmm, wrote some Creepy yesterday. Not a lot, not so great, but I wrote something. Today (AFTER debate) I'm gonna try some more.
That is, if I'm not packing. My mom told me that this afternoon I have to start packing up my room. *sigh* That's gonna be a heck of a job. I went through a bunch of little kid books last night and this morning to see if I wanted to keep any of them. Aww! They bring back such memories! Lol, the Barbie books are so funny. I can remember loving them as a little kid.
As for going through all my other stuff, ughh. Not looking forward to it. I have so much crap (did I just say that?) in my room. A lot of it has "sentimental value." Hah. I'm such a packrat. EVERYTHING has sentimental value almost. I would keep everything if my mom wasn't like NO. *sigh* Oh well. It's gotta be done. Wish me luck!
Off to do debate, a little math, and then...PACKING! AHHHHH! :) TTYL!
