Hey :)

I am forcing myself to blog. Because I've been neglecting poor little Carpe Diem. But in a way I guess that shows a good thing? That I'm Carpe-ing my Diem and not on the computer as much?

What have I been up to lately. Hmm.

Well, on Tuesday I went to Cassidy's 18th birthday party! We went to a hotel and swam and ate and talked. Then we went to the midnight premier of Eclipse! It was actually very good. It stuck to the book beautifully, and Kristin Stewart only sucked mostly instead of completely XD Edward even had a couple of parts where I didn't hate his guts. And Jacob was awesome.

There was just one thing.

Here.

Yeah. The movie opens with a guy screaming his lungs out. And then there are like four more times with guys shrieking bloody murder. I was like O.O *crumples in the seat*

XD Amanda and Kirsten, the girls I was sitting with, weren't aware of my...issue. It was kind of funny.

Other than that, quite a good movie XD

After the movie, we went back to the hotel and hung out and ate stuff and talked. We went to bed around 4:30 and woke up at 8:30 to go eat continental breakfast. I had a really awesome time, even though there were no blueberry muffins D: Isn't that, like, a hotel-breakfast-standard? Apparently not :'(

Today, Daniel, David, this girl named Alden, her FREAKING AWESOME six-year-old brother named Elijah, and some other people came over and we hung out at the lake all day. I got tanner :D WooT! We also watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". Great movie XD

So, the past few days have been awesome. Which is good, because the days before that sucked.

I'm beginning to see a pattern. Horrible, great, horrible, great, horrible, great. Whatever happened to days that were in the middle? Hmm. *shrug*

Computer Free Week

I'm back. No computer for a whole week was hard, but kind of nice. I've lost a lot of the desire to be on here a lot. So I probably won't be on a lot anymore. But I thought I'd let you see what I did this week XD At least when I had a camera around.

Captions on the bottom.

I didn't straighten my hair one day. I didn't hate myself with curly hair.
I "invented" a new kind of pigtail. And the flash on my camera turned me into an albino -_-
Ellie came over :D We were sitting around being ourselves, talking about weird things and writing books. Then we were like, "When girls get together like this they always take a ton of pictures of themselves. And make faces. And then put them on Facebook. It's so preppy and annoying...............hehe, let's do that."
Eyebrows.
We tried to take a picture of us and the Jonas Brothers. It didn't really work out.
Good picture.
The endless amusement reflections create.
Ellie and Licky.
Guess which one is me?
My arm.
Sistahs.
I got to babysit on Friday.
Ryan.
Maddie. This cracks me up every time.
Flexible little thing.
Lizzy. We hung out at the lake some.
A huge thunderstorm came up on Sunday. This is from my front porch. The Logan River XD
Daniel was at our house.
And so was Gracie.
And Stacey.
And Meredith :)

A week without the computer was just what I needed :D

Little Things

Today has been one of those "little things" days. You know, those days when nothing exciting happens, but you smiled enough to call it a good day.

Last night (which was really today), I fell asleep listening to music.
I slept until almost 11:30 this morning :)
I remembered my dreams enough to write them down.
I had delicious pasta for lunch.
I laid on the beach in the sun and listened to music and read for two hours :) :)
My dog surprised me with a visit to the beach too.
I wore no sunscreen and didn't burn at all.
My summer freckles are coming out. (I never understood why girls in books complain about freckles so much. Maybe I ought to hate my freckles too, but I don't. I've always liked them:))
I drank orange juice with ice in it. I love that.
I had yummy hot dogs and seasoned fries for dinner.
I ate two cupcakes :D
I acted out a Bible story with my scattered collection of animal bands.
I sat out on the screened-in porch and journaled.
I talked to Cavender for a tiny bit, which was an awesome surprise. (He's grounded.)
I watched the end of My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

What a great day :) Sometimes the little things make all the difference, we just have to be careful not to miss them.

Carpe diem :)

Things to Watch

Wow! Today has been extremely full!

Work went well. Today it was just from 9-12, and was strangely exhausting. It didn't seem like I did much, but it was kind of draining. However, I didn't mess anything up, I understood everything, and I actually think I helped a lot. Yay!

David and Daniel and their family were at our house when I got home. We all went down to the lake and played around on this inflatable giganticness we recently bought. I slid down the slide (with some help. Thanks, David -_- :P). Then I decided to be a party pooper and lay around in the sun for a while XD Later we went exploring in the woods and went to our "secret" spot. We had a lot of fun :)

Then, we all went to this little pizza place before going next door to this coffee shop. Some kids that I know are in a band and they were playing.

They're good.

Personally I was like :O The lead vocalist and lead guitarist, Forest, has a great voice and he is an extremely talented musician. Their music had a cool sound. Edgy but calm, and they wrote several really good songs. I was enjoying it and it was really relaxing.

Then Forest screamed.

:O :DDDDDDDDDDDDD WOOOT! >insert shock and wow< THAT was awesome. It was even more awesome than their faces when I was like "WHOA, that one was my FAVORITE do it AGAIN!"

So yeah. Today was really great, but really tiring. And I hafta get up at 7 again tomorrow :( And work 9-4. Seven hours. *moansighsob* I like it, but I'm tired. And that's a long time. And tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful and I wanna swim in the lakeee XD Oh well. I'm making money. So...yay.

After all that ranting do you still want my summer list #5? Well, read it or not, here it comes XD

Things to Watch
1. Pulp Fiction
2. Slendie vids on Youtube (only Cavender will know what the heck I'm talking about)
3. The Blair Witch Project
4. Paranormal Activity
5. Braveheart
6. The Wind and the Lions
7. Alice in Wonderland
8. Men in Black
9. The Transformers movies
10. Push

Hairband Wars

First of all, thanks LanguageTimothy for following! YAY!

Okay, I have some hard news. I've been taking kind of a break from my everyday blogging routine, and it's been really nice. I know I said I was coming back for Easter, but I really feel like my time would be better spent focusing on school, church, and writing right now. So, as hard as it is to say, this is goodbye. I love you all, I've loved bloggin--

Okay, April Fool's already. People were starting to tear up. So yeah XD Hah. Got you. Anyway...

So, Cavender came over today :)

We hung out downstairs and had epic wars. Like with pillows and hairbands. (He thinks that he won, so if it comes up, play along so you don't hurt his feelings ;P) Then we went to down the lake with Lizzy and Licky the Awesome Dog. After going to the cabana and to Matt and Katie's beach, we came back and I made Kool-Aid (black cherry, and, okay, I put in a TINY bit too much water and sugar, but it turned out just fine XD). Then we watched Phineas and Ferb, then ate hot dogs, and then he had to leave :( *cue violin music* XD

Other than that, today was not all that great. I'm being very unproductive in the academic area, which is probably going to end up making my Monday a living Heck. Oh well. I won't think about that right now. Tomorrow is going to be SUPER PRODUCTIVE...

It's also supposed to be 85 degrees and my friend Brianna is sleeping over and we're going to blow up this huge inflatable thing and go to the lake :D

FIFTY FOLLOWERS!!

Hi!! Okay, so I REALLY don't have long because I'm supposed to be off the computer in five minutes :'( I do have some some things that HAVE to be said, rule or no rule.

Are you ready for this?

CARPE DIEM NOW HAS FIFTY (50) FOLLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, wow, right? Who would have ever guessed??

And who was follower number fifty? Ashley (Liebe)!! Thank you SO MUCH, Ashley!!! WOW!! I'm sorry, I know it's not Award Day, but this is just too huge. Ashley, take this award:

You rock :)
--------------------------
Okay, so, wow, it's Thursday, Character Day, but I waited so long, and I just don't have time tonight :'( I'm so sorry! Today has been really full. I will most definitely post something for Character Day tomorrow along with Question Day. Thanks to Moon Shaw, Gracie, Justagirl4god and some else...? Oh, dear, I can't think of who it is :( Well, thanks to you guys for asking me some questions!
-------------------------
Today:

...was good. Busy, but good. I had a horrible night's rest for some reason. I just kept feeling like I wasn't solidly asleep, and that made me worried that I wasn't getting enough sleep...I kept waking up stressed. *sigh* I know, how weird is that? But, remember, this is ME we're talking about. And everything seems worse and more end-of-the-world-ish at night. Have you noticed that?

This morning school went fine. I didn't get a couple of things done, darn, but Daniel (14), Emily (12) and Caleb (10) came over at two to swim in the lake! That's always fun. Daniel and I are a lot alike, so it's just really easy to hang out with him. The lake was really low because of the stupid drought, though, so the nasty bottom floor was exposed. *Eek face* GROSSGROSSGROSS! And the horse flies were plentiful. Daniel had fun whacking them with my noodle while I treaded water forEVER. Lols :)

Oh, and I found out today that he's not even 14 years old. He's still 13 :O Just highly mature. More mature than some 14-year-olds that I know as a matter of fact... :P

Play practice was good tonight, but I wasn't feeling good. I started feeling sick this late-afternoon, and I just felt like crap all during practice. Still, it was fun. We learned choreography to a song, which SHOULD have been quick and easy enough, but the teacher is so artsy and scattered. She drives me crazy. I like her fine as a person, but as a dance teacher, not so much. Her daughter (Mulan), who's usually nice, was having one of THOSE days apparently, so that mother-daughter chemistry was interesting to say the least.

Well, that was my day. I went through it really fast, and I didn't get in the Character Day thing (*sob*), but I'll do it tomorrow.

Tomorrow no one is coming over or anything. *whew* I love lots of people, company, and friends, but my school work is suffering. I really need a work-till-I'm-really-finished day.

Thanks for reading! Y'all just make my day with your comments and voting and stuff! Thanks for being there! Sorry I didn't go into too much detail about the Fiftieth Follower thing :-/ I wanted to do something really huge and special, but I'm already seven minutes past my get-off-the-computer time, so I have to go :( Talk to you later!

Hung out at the neighbors' today, saw the movie Knowing (good, just...creepy), went to the lake, read some "Maximum Ride", which is very good so far. I like Fang a lot :D

That's all.

Another Amazing Day!

Not much time.

Lake 11:00am-7:30pm.
Matt, Katie, lots of other people.
Big family again. Awesome.
Two girls (Kaitlin and Jessica) are coming over in a minute and spending the night.
Katie is spending the night, too.
I always think it's funny when Lizzy will go over to Katie's one night, and then the next night, Katie is over at our house.
Got sunburned on shoulders and face. Oh well. It was worth it.
Got to see Matt and Katie's cousins again for the first time in FOREVER. They're both absolutely *GORGEOUS* now and pretty fun. Kind of city girls, though, lol! I never realize how "country" I am until city people come.
Can't post on Carpe Noctem right now :( I'm too tired. The post would be really shallow and rotten. Plus, Kaitlin and Jessica should be here any minute now.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I must be the luckiest girl in the world!!

P.S. I also had a dream last night that I had four brothers!!!!!!! Two older, two younger. And a bunch of sisters. One of the younger brothers was Matt! Lol! Maybe I'll tell you all about the dream sometime. I wrote it down. I always write down my interesting dreams, especially if they're about brothers. When I'm feeling pitiful, I read over them. Yes, I am weird.

P.P.S. THANK YOU, OURLIFESAVIOR FOR FOLLOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I'm back up to 35 followers. Strange world, isn't it?

A Quick Run-Down, Food for Thought, and Another Fill-Out

Another fun day! VBS, talk to some girl about doing Classical next year, swim in her pool, come home, swim in the gorgeous, crystal-clear green lake, take a shower with my CD player blasting, eat pizza, read an article on names in Reader's Digest, catch up on blogs, and that's about it.

Today is QUOTE DAY, my current second favorite day (first place goes to names, of course).

Quote: "Anyone who can handle a needle convincingly can make us see a thread which is not there." - E. H. Gombrich

Isn't that awesome and profound? At the very least it's some food for thought. Who in your life is making you see a thread that isn't there?

Susan vs. Arwen?
Susan. Never liked Arwen. I don't really know why. She's growing on me, though.

Edmund vs. Merry?

Pippin, he's hilarious. But Lucy is awesome, too.

Peter vs. Haldir?
Peter!

The Dancing Lawn vs. Lothlorien?
Lothlorien

Centaurs vs. elves?
Elves!

Peter's sword vs. Anduril?
Anduril

Susan's magic bow and arrows vs. Legolas's bow of Galadrim?

Luckiest Girl Ever

I am lucky. My life is so awesome.

Went out on the lake. Had a freaking BLAST. Katie water skiied (spelling?). How awesome is that?

I am just so lucky. I like right next to one of the biggest and the number one cleanest lake in my state. And I have amazing friends. I don't feel like saying more because I'm in such a good mood, I'm going to try to write. Then as soon as my phoneline stops being busy (-_-), I'm going to call Ellie B.

The pictures are of a lake, obviously, to go with my lovely day. (Click on them for the full and beautiful effect.)

Making Memories

Can't talk, too tired and not much time. Will elaborate and do a Bible thing tomorrow. I'm gonna use list format to run over the day's awesome events :)

-Church was good.

-went to see Star Trek. ABSOLUTELY *AMAZING* MOVIE. WOW. I HAVEN'T BEEN THAT IMPRESSED WITH A MOVIE SINCE LIKE...I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHEN. IT WAS STINKIN' EPICCCCCCCCCC! WOW. GO SEE IT NOW. SO GOOD. SO GOOD. SOO GOOD!

-I ate a giant (GIANT) Rice Krispy treat at the movie, and those are my favorite.

-On the way home from the movie, Mrs. Martha (Matt and Katie's mom) called and asked if we wanted to go out on the boat. We said yes.

-Go home and change into bathing suits. I wash off my make up so it won't run when I do stuff in the water.

-They pick us up at the beach (in the boat).

-Beautiful weather.

-IT'S JUST US!!!!!!!! For the first time in actually-not-exaggerating YEARS (only two, but still, YEARS), it was just us. No other families, no catches, just us and them.

-Had an amazing time in the water fooling around like old times.

-The ride back, Mrs. Martha gave in when we begged her to go top speed. We flew over waves and the boat went crazy. It's times like that when I'm sure I have the best childhood of anyone in the world. I mean, being with my closest friends and the wind and the water and being perfectly happy...how can you top that?

-We all decided to order pizza and meet back at Matt and Katie's house. They dropped us off at our house, though, so we could get out of our bathing suits. I just put on, like, almost-pajamas, lol!

-Watched "Marley and Me" while eating pizza and warding off the dog, Hershey :)

-Katie fell asleep like halfway into it :)

- Matt was adorably sad at the end (if you've seen it, you know why; if you haven't, I'm not saying anything ;) ).

-We came home, and I'm typing this.

-I get to sleep in tomorrow.

What a great day, you know? Don't you just LOVE those days when you just smile and think, "I am the luckiest person in the world right now." *sighs contentedly* Carpe diem, y'all! You never know when you're making a memory!

Hourglass Nebula and My Life

How's this for awesome? It's supposed to be the hourglass nebula. Isn't it beautiful? I'm not really sure if it actually is the hourglass nebula, though, because it doesn't look like an hourglass, or any of the other pictures of the hourglass nebula. But no matter what it is, it's stunning, isn't it?

As I was looking at it, it sort of looks like someone climbing a steep mountain. The wind is blowing, and the person's hair is blowing. There's also like this huge cloud of evil trying to keep the person from making it to the top. Maybe the person is trying to get that red star thing. Do you see all this? Okay, let me see if I can describe it more, just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about, lol!
You see the red star, right? It's sitting in the middle of a mountain. Just the top of the mountain. You see the four rays of light coming out of the star? The top left ray points to a person. The greenish blob is the head, and the person is almost lying on the mountain, it's struggling so much. The wind is blowing, and the person's hair is blowing up and in front of his face. Behind the person (you can't miss this, lol) is a huge cloud of evil and misfortune, swirling darkly, just waiting to knock the person off the mountain.
Do you see it? Okay, well, that's my Picture of the Week :)
---------------------------
Okay, I like the specialty posts and everything, but they feel somehow impersonal. I feel like I never post anymore, even though I'm posting every day. It's weird. So, I'm just going to take a little bit to recap my life over the past few days, like I used to. Okay? :)
Okay, so Friday was the start to an amazing weekend. Hot, sunny, and just perfect weather. My dad took our little sunfish sailboat out and had a great time. I just took a walk with my dog while listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. THAT was cool, let me tell ya :D The music really added something special to my walk through the woods.
Saturday, my dad took the sailboat out again, and I just hung out on the beach with a bunch of my church friends. It was so much fun!! I went on the Fords' boat for the first time in over a year! YAY! It was just awesome. Just like old times. I went barefoot the whole day, so my feet are getting tough already ;D
Sunday, WE DID IT AGAIN! My dad took the sailboat out, and even more people came down to the beach. Like, our whole church almost. Well, okay, not exactly, but like eight families were there. I love my church friends. They're just like extra family. Tons of parents and siblings, all mine :)
That was the best weekend I've ever had. I had so much fun! Indescribably amazing. Wow.
And tonight, I'M GOING TO THE BOOKSTORE!!!!!! Isn't that awesome? I have a list of like twenty-five books I need to read, lol! I'm sure I won't be able to get them all tonight, but I'll get some at least! And I'm going summer clothes shopping, but only a little. Just a couple of pairs of shorts and maybe a T-shirt or two. Nothing extreme. I'm procrastinating the extreme shopping ;)
The only thing that's sad right now is how Mirror is going. It's going as bad as it's ever been. I'm actually thinking I might not finish it. I have a bunch of people who are so excited about it, and I hate to disappoint them, but it's just going so badly, I can't imagine completing it now! :'( But I HAVE TO!! I just HAVE TO! But how? It's going SO BADLY. I haven't really written it in so long.
*giant sigh* I've had rough patches before. After all, when I started this book, I wrote a few pages, and then didn't pick back up until nearly a YEAR later. This is just a rough patch. It'll be okay. I'll finish it, edit it, and it'll be great.
I hope.
Well, that's my past few days and tonight. Hope you weren't bored ;) Carpe this aestas diem!

Best Day Ever!

Sorry for posting twice in one day, but I just had to say that I had the most amazing day ever!! The Fords took us out on their boat!! So much fun! And we played on the beaches, too. :D Best day ever!!
