Just T-Hair-ibble

I got a haircut yesterday. To explain to you how I feel, I'm going to use a quote from Simon of the "Mortal Instruments" trilogy:

"I don't like flat soda. I don't like crappy boy-band pop. I hate [my hair]. See the difference?"

I've regretted haircuts before, but never like this, never on the almost-eve of my sixteenth birthday. You know how my hair normally looks after I get it cut? I like it. I think it looks good. Well, I hate this. I hate it. Go read that quote again.

What the HECK was I thinking asking the haircut-lady to go shorter? If it ain't broke, don't freaking fix it, Kendra! Why-o-why!! I'm about to be sixteen, and I now look like I'm ten.

Ten.
TEN.

I really do.

Gosh, could this be any more exactly the opposite of what I want? I hate my hair. So much. I'm so upset >.<

It's completely my fault and everything, the lady did exactly what I asked her to. It's all my fault, and I look terrible.

I.

Look.

Ten.

*sob* Awwwwwwwwww >.<

Ellie, please call me next time I'm about to get a haircut and remind me not to go too short. We usually do that for each other, and I don't do it one time, and look at what happened? Goshhhhh.

Yeah, I know, it'll grow. It will. But not before Sunday. Not before I have pictures taken of my on my Sweet 16 looking like I should be in elementary school.

:(

Ugh. I am seriously quite depressed about this.

Oh my word, I did that a while ago--I cried myself to sleep for a WEEK! I honestly looked horrible.

I wore it in a tight ponytail or let it loose--let the frizzy, wavy, ugly hair loose. Both ways were horrible.

But hey--ask your parents if you can get hair extensions, just for the picture? *shakes head* Okay, maybe that's a bit out there...

...and I'm really sorry. As I said before, I have done that. Now, it's long and beautiful again. But still. Those months were torture.

And that REALLY sucks about doing that RIGHT before your sweet sixteenth. :(

Love,
Bekah

Hey, and post pictures or send them to me (my email is on my profile). I bet it's not half-bad!

Put your hair up! I have a friend who has short hair and doesn't look 10.. don't worry. It probably isn't half as bad as you think :)

That happened to me too. I regreted it for weeks. But eventually it grew longer in a few weeks and I got used to it and now, I don't think it looks so bad anymore. It'll get better. I bet it isn't even as bad.

Oh, that's really tough. I had that same experience (almost) with bangs. Cute on a six year old, not so cute on a twelve year old. And they took FOREVER to grow out.

is it cruel to ask for pics? Then we can convince you that it doesn't look as bad as you make it sound.
I accidentally got an punk haircut, but I turned out to actually like it.

Hi Kendrabelle! This is Mrs. D., mother of Two Sisters~Best Friends!
Sorry about your hair...I remember a similar thing when I was about 18...went to one of those "learning school" salons...the girl made a mistake...had to go shorter...made another mistake...and by the time I left, my below-shoulder hair was up to my ears PIXIE short!!!!!
So...I FEEL for you, I really really do...maybe for your special birthday, you could do something really fun and fashionable with a really pretty scarf or headband of some sort? Just an idea...something to distract and move the focus toward the accessory a little bit! Even a great looking HAT would do nicely!
Anyway, I stopped by on behalf of one of my older daughters, Laura, who is hoping to have you visit a special new blog she just launched.
You can find it here:

It's a nice place for teen girls!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY and GOD BLESS your 16th year!!!!

Awww, I bet it doesn't look as bad as you think. At least it is not permanent! And just think, now you can write about the angst of a bad haircut. :)

awwww *HUGS* I think hair is the most stressful thing ever.....so sorry! :(
I've considered doing something radical to my hair....but I always was so scared I'd regret it...the most I ever did was henna it and THAT lead to some panic haha....
You know, I've thought if I ever cut my hair short I'd spike it....but I don't know if that's what you want for your birthday.....people that don't know you needn't hear about it...just spike it up and dye the tips :) prob. not very good advice.....but cheer up dear, we love you!! :) <3

Dye it bright red and pretend you're going through a rebellious phase.

I did that with my beard just before Driver's Ed, went there looking about five years younger... No longer as intimidating as I like to be.

I'd take KnightWing's advice if I were you!

I did that too. But I was 10 at the time. And I looked about 5 years old.
Anyway,
I'm sure your hair isn't half as bad as your saying it is. :)

*hugs Kendra*

It's hard to give advice or suggestions without pictures, but try not to worry about it too much. Your friends love you and won't remember a bad hair cut. One of these days you will look at those pictures and get a laugh. I promise you in several years this haircut will be a distant memory. Cheer up and enjoy your birthday. :)

Whenever I get my hair cut I look awholelot younger and hate it =P so whenever I need a cut, I like to shave it and wear a hat but... that probably wouldn't work for you =P I'm probably gonna get it straightened then cut. It's pretty long right now but curly so it's not that obvious. I do need to get it cut soon though. Jesus loves you! (still =)

I just hate haircuts, period. >.< Mine always turn out horrible. Anyway, I agree with Mrs. D, accessorize it!! It works wonders. :3

It can't be worse than when I tried to cut my own hair at the age of ten. I looked like I had a mullet.
